Hi!

I've been researching raw for a while now and have slowly been adding more fruits and vegetables into my diet :)

I've decided that tomorrow I want to quit SAD cold turkey. I've found that the more raw I add to my diet, the more unappealing cooked food is and I just don't see the point in consuming it anymore.

I'm a bit young, sixteen, but the way I see it the sooner the better :D

Anyone around my age in need of an accountability partner? Or is someone willing to help encourage me to stay on track?

Welcome SummersRell! :) Good for you switching to raw & 100%. Very smart to start so young. The sooner you get rid of toxins, the healthier and happier you'll be long-term.

In case you may have family issues regarding this diet, you may want to keep track of your nutrients & calories for a period of time so you can ensure them you're getting plenty. Though raw is different in that you're assimilating the nutrients better.

Thank you :)

My mom's alright with it as long as I make sure I eat enough and get enough nutrients, but she is pretty worried that I won't. Tracking it is a good idea to help her relax a bit :D I didn't think about that.

I think there are some charts on some of these raw food websites that show you how much vitamins, minerals, iron, protein, etc you are getting eating raw foods.
I can't recall where I've seen it though. If you can find it or if soeone can help with that, you can print it out to show your mom too.
Welcome fellow raw food newbie. This forum is a great place for support and encouragement! :)

It is so wonderful that lots of young people are finding us here -- so, welcome!

I was a vegetarian at your age and got a lot of flack about it. Stay strong!

Wishing you all the best.
