I did a water fast for 2 nights and one day then this morning i ate something because i felt really dizzy and my heart was pounding really hard, and i felt anxious and weak, but after i ate i still felt this way, so there must b something wrong with me.
Any way i am going to fast for 2 weeks and I'm going to try and stay motivated and not think about eating.
I don't have much of a desire to eat anyway
But does anyone else want to do this fast with me?? It would be cool if i could have someone else who is fasting at the same time as me.
I used to always fast with my mom but she is currently not here, so i have to do it on my own :/
I would be so proud of myself if i did it for 2 weeks :}
Does anyone know if its safe for someone who is 5'7" & 120lbs?

You need your fruits and veggies! Is there a reason you are specifically water fasting? Why not try a juice or smoothie fast instead?
Your heart and brain need some kind of fuel to keep going.

IMHO-water fasting for 2 weeks with little/no training is not healthy. do a 2 week juice fast or a 30 day juice fast. Two weeks on just water seems extreme to me. Learning how to fast is an art form.

then you definitely don't know enough about fasting to do a water fast. read, research, read some more... do some juice fasts or green smoothie fasts... hire a fasting coach... someone who knows what they are doing to assist you.
cause this alone tells me you shouldn't do it without more knowledge.

i want to do a water fast because i read when there is no nutrients stored, the body goes in ketosis and gets nutrients from the fat cells, and scar tissue..so i want to get rid of my scars.
Can you get rid of scars doing a juice fast, or is it only for water fasting?
I haven't found anything yet about skinny people doing a fast, most research i have done shows people who did a water fast when they already had a lot of fat on them. But i dont have any fat so im not sure how long i should do it for.

first off... how about taking it day by day? i release weight in the first two weeks and then i seldom release much more. perhaps a pound every 3 weeks type of thing.
second... there's no guarantee that your scars will go away but if they do, they can also go away with raw live foods. so i would say juice fasting would give you similar results.
sounds like you need to do more research...

ive been researching for a year now, almost the time ive been raw now.. i still havent found the answer but ill keep looking..
i started juice fasting instead but am going to do it for 3 months..if it doesnt get rid of my scars ill just water fast.
I've only found info on water fasting for scars, i read that juice fasting doesnt get your body into ketosis so its safe and it helps w cell regeneration and i read on the 15th day the healing process scours for dead/damaged tissue to repair it so im hopeful it will work out

Hi Lilly i have been fasting a few times in my life I have only done water fasting and nothing else. But to be quiet honest scars tissue doesnt go away when you fast!! I even got more scars cause my body lost to much weight while i was fasting over two weeks. I dont want to scare you but be very careful how long you fast.... The dizzyness goes away usually after a few days also the craving for food and it can become an addiction ;)
Best of luck for your fasting way:)

Hi Lilly, I've water fasted for up to 30 days successfully. The body is amazing in its capacity to heal and it will always let you know when its time to stop on extended fasts. The human body knows how to fast as most animals in the animal kingdom are well aware. You have some deep seated fears regarding water fasting so it's probably best to get in touch with why you want to follow this path. I agree with Aleesha that more research is probably needed with regard to water fasting on your part. Coupled with being guided by a fastician or homeopathic doctor. There is a ton of information on the web. Check out Dr. Herbert Shelton's work and research.
I've completed 6 water fasts during the past 2 years and each time I've experienced tremendous healing benefits. But I also believe in it which is very key. Some people should NOT fast for various [physical] reasons. Just educate yourself, know your own body.
Note: I began with the master cleanse and juicing before I graduated to water fast. A juice fast is just as beneficial and will take the fear factor out of it for you. It might be a good choice for you to simply employ a juice fast until you can wrap your arms around water fasting. Thank you for allowing me to share my insight on the subject. Best wishes!

You're very welcome Mystic. The information motivated me to keep going. I'm a visual learner and so seeing what was happening helped me a lot.
Curezone also has a great water fasting forum that is very helpful. There are a couple veteran [water] fasters who are very knowledgeable & know the body's systems well. One of them worked directly with Herbert Shelton to heal himself.

Awesome! I'll check it out. Visiting sites and reading up on it all has been making a huge difference. I feel like I am getting somewhere now and getting support makes it so much easyier. Love fasting forums and hearing about others on their journeys. :)
