Hey everyone, I have a very personal question.

I need to know if you have found any raw ways to regulate your hormones, or give your libido a little pick-me-up. I haven't had a menstrual cycle (or at least I haven't bled) for seven months now, and I have little or no interest in being intimate. And even if the interest/intent is there, most times I'm incapable of it. Needless to say, this is very frustrating and discouraging for me. I'm at my wits end here, I feel this is an important part of my relationship, not to mention it obviously has negative effects if my df feels I'm uninterested/not attracted to him. :(

I have a doctors appointment next week and I plan on asking about it, but I imagine she will only want to pump me full of hormones and/or say I ought to gain weight - the first of which I will not allow, the second is difficult to achieve, and wreaks havoc on me mentally.

(If this helps: I get light exercise fairly regularly, eat plenty of healthy fats, and take maca as well. I do not use hormonal birth control).

what do you mean by 'incapable of it'?
me: red raspberry tea has helped me. I use some Maca also..remember to take the break period. I didn't have a menstrual cycle for 8 months then it resumed. I do have a 'desire' but am by myself (widowed) and there is no one in our life at this time. This is a little frustration. I feel that if I were with someone, activity would be no problem.

I'm sorry for your loss, margross. :/

Well, not physically stimulated/ready, if you will. No different than the rest of the day. (Although sometimes if this is not the case, it ends up being painful anyways).

The break period? I don't generally take maca consistently, but I add it to shakes and chocolate things.
