Take an organic orange and slice it thin. Keep the peel and pith on too...don't discard anything. Put the slices into your dehydrator for about 2-3 days (no teflex sheets needed). It will become crunchy and chewy and oh so delicious. The more you chew it, the more the flavor comes out. I feel like I'm getting good nutrition eating the peel and pith too. :)
It reminds me of "candy fruit jell slices" that I used to love.
You can use it in recipes too. I put a couple slices into a triple berry pie and it added an orangy perfumy yumminess. I also added to a peach smoothie.
Wow - that sounds really good! Thanks for sharing! *Ü*

I'm going to try dehydrating lemons and limes too. I"m not sure they will taste good by themself but they could be good in recipes.

It takes 3 days at 105 in my dehydrator for food to come out crunchy. I just made eggplant bacun and after 3 days in the dehydrator, it is crunchy and perfect bacun texture, which just a touch of oiliness. I used Ani Phyo's recipe and it is delicious.
