almost one year raw

Hi Raw friends,
I was bored at my computer and decided to post some pictures. What a task this was--I hope they come through!!!:confused:
Anyway, it will be one year raw in October and I am seeing and feeling the differnces.
I love being raw and I know this will be my lifestlye for a long while.
I have overcome many chronic health issues this year.
I just wanted to share and offer encouragement to those new on the path.
I did this for health reasons, not weigth loss. I did go from a full size 8 to a size 4 and that has been nice!!
Thanks for the support and information over the past year. I have enjoyed this forum very much!!

Thank you whoa-raw--I feel all of those things.
I choose a before picture that I liked, remember at the time thinking it was a great picture. I can really see the differences.
I notice and feel such a clairty and clearness of mind since eating raw.
Every time I even think about SAD food and perhaps miss it, I think, which do I want that Veggies burger and fries or this feeling? This feeling always wins!

Ice Queen , thanks!! It seems like the process can be pretty slow at times but one of my favorite quotes is "it does not matter how slow you go so long as you do not quit." I am a firm believer that eating this way allows the body to heal itself.

Congrats to you Dawn. Doesn't it feel great to have made it a year?
What things/improvements have you noticed in yourself over the year?
There seem to be so many for me, it would take a while to sit down and write them all, including the challenges!

One year raw and wanting to get to 100%.

I started a sedentary job 4.5 yrs ago and started to put on a couple pounds that I fought to keep off. I dont have to fight anymore they're off and staying off!

Sometimes I am so happy that I cant stand myself. It has been a rough year (not from my raw lifestyle) and I dont know what I would have done without this peaceful easy feeling.

I have great energy. I want a more simple life.

I quit coffee just last Monday. Thats my latest improvement. It went pretty well with just a 36 hour span of headache and neck/shoulder ache. No more heart palpitations. Coffee is bad stuff. From what I read, I had it easy.

It's amazing what raw can do! I can't wait till I start and see changes in myself. Seeing your photos and others before/afters helps give me motivation.

You look great Terry. I began shortly after you and understand the challenges one faces in maintaining the lifestyle. I wonder how many of the naysayers ever stuck with their fad diets and fitness regimes for a year? Keep it up and look forward to your 2 year celebration!:rolleyes:
