Hi There,

My name is Emma & I'm a 30 year old living in Sydney, Australia. I suffer from a condition called Psoriatic Arthritis, which is a debilitating form of arthritis caused by the skin condition Psoriasis. I have suffered with Psoriatic Arthritis for 15 years. This condition has especially been very difficult to manage since having my daughter in June last year.

I have just started out on my raw food journey & have purchased Alissa's book which I can't put down, it's fantastic & for the first time in my life I feel excited about the possibility of controlling this disease naturally instead of with medication (which I am absolutely fed up with taking).

Just wondering if anyone else here suffers from this condition & if so, how is your condition now since being on Alissa's program.

Looking forward to hearing from people.

Have a wonderful day xx :)

Hi MissEm ~ My husband also suffers from p. arthritis. I told him about Terry's post (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=58404&highlight=pagano) with this book she recommended, our library carried it, so he read it. I mention this because there are raw foods that he cannot have (according to this book) and others he can have only sparingly. Nightshades are one. So no peppers or tomatoes (etc.) for him. Honey is sparingly. He recently was overdoing it on honey and the psor. bloomed, so he feels he'd better stick to the guidelines :)

He decided to follow the book and he has been doing so for some months now. It is slow, but he has had 1 small patch of psoriasis disappear. He doesn't want to get excited about it yet as the psoriasis can wax and wane - but he's still quite optomistic that this will help. He wants a cure and he's following the book.

He and I have talked about adding wheatgrass to his diet, along with possibily glucosamine and chondroiton. He may add that about a month from now.

He's not 100% raw as he does have meat maybe 5 times a week. Following the book's recommendations as to what kind.

My heart goes out to you - I hope you find relief!
