Hi there.....questions for fellow coachers....

I was wonderng if anyone ever took on any cancer patients, people who are seriously ill?
Not as in diagnosing, seeking to sure or anything like that. Just being asked to coach them in raw eating?

I am sure you have them sign a waiver to that effect?

Also what direction do you give them? An overview of raw life and eating and support around that.

Do you ever feel drawn to lessen your price because of the situation?

Did you feel blessed to know what you do (for your own health )in the midst of seeing this situation....

Even though stressing healthful eating and always giving them the choice, teaching them to make the better choices and as much raw as they can, did you want to (deep down) say "what are you doing??? You have cancer and you wanna eat what? hahahhahaha

Did you feel blessed to be where u r?

I did see how, even in the face of serious illness, people dont want their food messed with. They just do not know. Their is such a need for this education out there. This poor girl has had chemo every two weeks since last April. She will move onto radiation and it on powerful drugs as well.

She said she wasnt concerned at all about the cancer only how tired she was.

I would love any input on your experience with this, as I have not had a cancer patient as a client previously. Gratzy

Gosh, it's such a touchy situation.

I'm not a raw food coach per se, I do workshops but not one on one sessions. I have a friend who coaches and she takes on cancer patients, in fact it's her specialty. She is a former cancer sufferer herself (breast cancer) and knows a thing or two about it.

I'd personally be a little reticent to take on cancer sufferer's as it's a difficult situation, depending on your views of traditional 'medicine'. And as you mentioned, your own stress at watching/hearing of them eating things you know are terrible for cancer growth.

I try to explain it to people this way: If you're heading down a steep hill toward a cliff at 100 miles and hour, and you try to apply the brakes 100 ft before the edge, it's probably not going to have the effect you want.

But unfortunately it's what the majority of people in Western society do, not give a thought about being in that out of control car, until they can see the cliff, and most often by then it's too late for many.

If I were to take on cancer sufferers or others with medical conditons, I'd strongly recommend that they change their diet in consultation with their doctor as well. This covers both yourself (indemnity wise) and their health.

I am fortunate to have in my area a vegan doctor who is very raw friendly.
