I never had children but has anyone found this to be true?
I also read that you can take prenatal vitamins without being pregnant.

The reported instances of hair growth probably had more to do with hormonal changes in the mother-to-be rather than the prenatal vitamins she was taking. They are also formulated specifically for her needs, not yours.

She needs 1000 mcg's a day of folic acid....you only need 400. Take too much, and it can mask symptoms of vitamin B-12 deficiencies.

She needs 27 mg of iron....you only need 8. Take too much, and you can have problems with constipation, nausea, and vomiting.

I'm sure many have taken them with no ill effects, but why chance it? Might want to consider taking biotin or msm instead.

It's not about being prenatal, it's about high doses of certain vitamins especially B vitamins. Consuming large amounts of greens can be helpful. Wheatgrass is known to help with hair color & growth.
