My juicer died last week while I was making a carrot, beet and fruit juice. I just stood there in shock. It wasn't the best of juicers, as I don't have a steady income. But I didn't want to wait before I started my raw journey. I found one at a thrift store. What a joke made my el cheapo look like a Champion, but alas I did buy it. I just keep laughing at it haven't used it yet. We will see I need something. I have to save for a new juicer so it will have to do, I think. This will not deter me I have been raw for about 4 years. I won't be joining anyone on a juice feast or fast=( The funeral is tomorrow trash day

look for Church rummage sales or bazaars. They had a few for less than $10.00 at my Church Saturday in excellent condition. It can be time comsuming to juice so, many buy them then get tired of the cleaning. hope you get one soon.

you have to add water to your produce... blend it up and then put the entire concoction in a nut mylk bag (or paint strainer bag) and you squeeze all the juice out.

how much water? maybe some recipes?

I tend to burn through juicers. but the vitamix is my best friend. :D

same recipes you would use with your juicer and add as much water as you need to get it all blended completely...

my blender is not the greatest either don't want to kill it also that would be a sad thing two death in the same month how sad, I will survive. I may juice a little. Maybe I can talk my children into buying me a new juicer. They have been enjoying the results of my raw experience. One has even started on the smoothy trek and has lost eleven pounds.

oh nice!

breville is a nice juicer. i find the lower costing ones work better than the higher costing ones. (i've tried many)

I've found the taste of the juice isn't very good with a Vitamix compared to a juicer. I like the idea of using one appliance though. Found cleaning the nut bag a pain too. Guess there's positive & negatives to both options.

Maybe put the word out that you want one. Meaning I was at my church small group and a question came up. What have you bought that was purely impulsive, well I chime up my Vitamix (used it for 4 yrs making my sugar glider food) lol. Now I use it everyday. Back to the story... well another person said a juicer. I said oh I am looking for a juicer and she says well its in my basement collecting dust so you can have it, just pay me what you think its worth. ITS A CHAMPION!!!! WHOOO HOOO! I offered $50.00 she said naw how about $25.00. Maybe someone has one in the basement collecting dust?

Try craigslist. I just got one (never used, still in the box) last night that I had found listed there. What's more, it was free.

So after my juicer died last week. The morning period was short. lafsalot suggested craiglist. I searched the list what a job. Found a champion juicer. It was lightly used. Still pretty and shiny new with the book. It cost me 75. Which I could not afford but it was a deal. I now own a Champion juicer. The one everyone talks about. Go figure. Now I am on the prowl for a vitamix. my ostizer is doing fine for now. She is good to me blends just fine, she is sounding a bit used, but I have a backup motor. I saved my old ostizer for that reason. Can't wait to play with my new toy. Wow I can juice fast now.
