Hi! I was wondering how much money you spend feeding your dog raw meat. My puppy is 7 years old, weighs 65 pounds and i feed him raw chicken with the occasional lamb treat. i watched my budget last month and i spent $45 on food for him. i think that is very reasonable considering the value that he provides me.

how much do you spend feeding your dog raw meat?

thank u for sharing. smiles!

I have 2 cane corsos (italian mastiffs) both are over 100 pounds. I also don't just feed them meat. I feed 70% raw meat with bones on it (chicken quarters), 20% raw fruits and veggies (a mix of zucchini or squash, blueberries and sometimes sweet potatoes), 10% organ meat (usually calf livers or chicken livers). I would say, I spend about $160 a month on them.

The bulk of my 6 dogs meals is primarily meat, although I do occasionally add steamed veggies, sw potatoes, yogart, cooked fish, etc. I generally get two cases (80 lbs) of chicken backs/necks/w offal a month for $24.00.

Look in the phone book under listings for meat wholesalers. Although they usually only sell to retail butchers, restaurants, supermarkets, etc, most will sell it to you at the same price as long as you buy in bulk.
