Morning everyone~:) Happy Sunday!
I am seeing the results of being raw...this is almost the end of my second month. I am wearing clothes that didn't fit before or were just uncomfortable and it really feels great. My dh commented yesterday that this works for me like nothing else he has ever seen me "do:, both physically and mentally, emotionally...he can see the difference in a big way. I have a long way to go but I am on my way in the right direction. I don't know how much weight I've lost because I haven't weighed myself since the end of last month but am thinking close to 20 lbs which is wonderful and I'll take it!!:D I am 53, menopausal and have done no exercise at all because of several major back conditions/injury that make even walking any distance impossible at this point so I am thankful beyond words for this progress.

I bought beautiful melons (a variety), organic blueberries, strawberries, kale, cilantro, avocados, mangoes, cherries, pineapple, lettuces, etc...yup..........beautiful food for life!!

Morning smoothie-fresh orange juice, kale, energy greens, frozen blueberries & mango, handful of goji berries & bee pollen.......amazingly purple and yummy.....

Hope everyone has a great day....thanks Alissa for this forum.....discovered raw here and it is what has kept me going and not giving up. I joined this forum almost 5 years ago and have added more raw in , strived to do better, fallen, gotten back up, dusted myself off and kept going over and over again and have kept coming back to raw because I know what changes it can make in the body and in the heart. It is finally a lifestyle change for me....all the times I tried, all the learning brought me to the place where I could really make it work for me and it is....

Congratulations GlimR. I'm so happy for you.

Nothing yet today, something I had yesterday threw me off. But I'm thinking later I'll make a strawberry salad. Maybe something frozen and sweet too.

Yeah GlimR..so happy for you.

Today I made a front porch deck, sweated tons but made up for it by eating lots of watermelon and salads..for B I had a smoothie of course.
Lunch and dinner was a Asian pear, walnut salad with poblano peppers..yum...now I am nibbling on nuts...

see you in the morning...

That was one inspiring post Glimr.. it's wonderful that you reached your goals of sticking to a raw lifestyle, I hope I get there too! And 20 lbs is quite the accomplishment!

I started the monthly challenge yesterday, so today is day 2.
B: 1/2 hami melon, 1/2 cantaloupe (IN LOVE WITH MELONS...the fruit kind)
L: couple cups of kale, 1/2 cup of sprouts. I'd like to know if this is too much or too little? After eating the sprouts, I went from being full of energy to being suddenly tired and irritable, as if I had eaten too many?? Not sure.
L2 (2nd lunch, I eat 4 meals): romaine strawberry banana smoothie, (2 bananas, overload of strawberries, couple cups of romaine)
D: Enormous bowl of red amaranth leaves, and some black grapes.

Day 2 is usually where I end up quitting lol, because I begin to realize the dent on the wallet, paired with the start of detox, and I chicken out..not this time.
