Hi!!
I made this really good buckwheat cereal...at least it tasted yummy before i stuck it inside the dehydrator.
But after the "cooking" it tastes pretty sour...nothing to do with the wonderful taste it had yesterday..
I am wondering if it´s normal for the buckwheat to "transform" and taste sour or maybe it´s actually turned bad.
There is one little thing...when mixed with almond milk the sour taste disapears...
what´s up???
p.s. i just went into the kitchen and it smells sour...
i am flipping it over and drying it out more...it is still quite wet.
the recipe is from the beautiful "Raw food Real world" cookbook by,Matthew Kenney and Sarma Melngailis
2 c buckwheat groats soaked
3/4c maple or agave syrup
1 1/2tsp cinnamon or 2 tsp carob pwd
2 tsp sea salt
grind everything in a food processor and dehydrate for 8/12 hours
flip and dehydrate until completely dry and crunch
