Hi everyone...
I signed up five days ago and I'm pleased to say that today is my fourth day raw! :) As with Chloe and Peatrix, I've had many headaches over the years, and am pleased to say that I've been headache-free all four days.
I'm so happy to have found this site for support. I tried raw a few years ago and found it very difficult to do alone. I'm committed now, and with the help of friends, family and this site, I will succeed! :D

Waves from somewhere else in South Carolina!
Where in Colorado are you from?
I was married there, trained in the military there, birthed two children there, and sold our house there. :(
Sigh......
South Carolina isn't the Rockies, that's for sure. But the Rockies aren't the beach, either! Gotta compromise somewhere, I guess.
Welcome in. Come join us over on the 30 Day Challenge Board!

Welcome to you, Firefly!
This is one of the greatest forums I've encountered.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! :)
ReneeSC, I'm originally from the Denver area, though I much prefer the mountains to the city. You're right, SC is definitely not the Rockies, but at least there's some topography!

Firefly,
I worked in Aurora at Buckley - at a military trauma center. Then, about 5 years ago, we went back for four months while my husband finished up some school. We lived in a hotel across the street from the old airport. I loved Denver!
Yeah, we have "topography".. if you can call it that. LOL
I can't wait to march with you through OctoberFest!

Thanks so much to all of you for the welcome! It's nice to see that there are others here in SC that are on this journey. Pretty much everyone I work with is on the deep-fried southern cooking diet, so it's been an interesting experience. Prior to going raw, I had some interesting questions from some of the folks at work that didn't understand vegetarianism. It's incredible to me that some people can be so in the dark about things! One of the guys asked me if nuts were a meat....he just couldn't get the concept that I ate things that were not from animals. It's been funny.
