Some of my dental health practices are a little inconvenient and I would hate to think that they are unnecessary so I am asking people if they have read anything to either debunk them or back them up.
1. Do not brush your teeth within 30 minutes of eating fruit because fruit acid weakens the enamel and you can damage it. It goes back to its natural state after 30 minutes and you can brush then.
2. If you add a little baking soda to a glass of water to rinse after eating it will help to counter the acidifying effects of the fruit.
3. If you use a toothpaste that contains glycerine, your teeth will be prevented from re-mineralising.
Please add any others that you may have but the 30 minute one is a nuisance.
