Ok guys wish me luck!! I'll be offline for the next ten days but planning to stay raw on my trip. I have a bag packed with glazed pecans, cranberries, grawnola, onion bread, mango/peach bread, energy greens, maca, cacao, chlorella, almond butter, raw honey, macaroons, a cutting board, knife, etc...My son is taking me to his co-op tonight so I can get some fresh produce. My sister is lending me her VM for my hotel stay and my mother is ripening and freezing bananas for me for my green smoothies. My other sister is making a huge fruit basket and a salad so I have food for my Mother's party...her 90th b'day and a family reunion.
Also going to my ex husbands house for a BBQ and to have extra time with my son Liam who is home for two weeks from Iraq. My x's wife (a very close friend) is making me a huge beautiful salad. Everyone is very positive and willing to make great things for me. Should be a wonderful trip. Will stop in when I get back. Hope everyone has a great week & 1/2.

Wow, GlimR, that sounds fanatastic! How wonderful to have so much support from the people around you, you'll come through this trip unscathed for sure. :p
Good luck!

Couple bites of chocolate, dates, and brazil nuts.
Broccoli with cheese dip. Mmm.

Edit: Maybe some peach ice cream if this sugar craving doesn't go away. I just picked up 10 peaches for $2 at a little corner stand. Ahhhh.

Hiya gang! Just dropping in to update. Its been a crazy exhausting week. I'm so glad it's over tomorrow, although family is in town this weekend and I may be forced to deal with them. I'm sorry, but my family really isn't one of those happy hang out together tight knit families. And I cannot stand being around my mother with other family around. For various reasons. So I'm hoping to avoid it!

Anyway, I've been having some food issues lately. The past few days I cannot think of anything I *want* to eat. Its so frustrating. When I don't have a craving, or the taste for something, and some tickle of "Gee that sounds tasty", I either don't eat, or I graze on things, and nothing tastes good, and I never feel satisfied. I have no idea what to do to fix it either. And I don't think just not eating is an option, especially while I'm still on anti-fungal stuff for my sinus issues. Blargh!

Anyway, I'm going to mix things up a bit tomorrow I think, and make tomato soup for breakfast. It is so hearty and filling I think it might serve me better as my morning meal. And hopefully get me through lunch. Work has calmed down and isn't as busy so I should be able to leave earlyish too. After work I'm going to hit up the natural food store co-op place and get some berries. I found out my iron is ridiculously low, almost anemic level, and my doctor put me on a semi-natural iron supplement, and I know Vitamin C helps with absorption, so I looked up some good berries to eat/add to my diet. I'm already consuming a good amount of orange, lemon, and strawberries - but I don't want to up the orange too much as the acidity of it is a bit much for me right now.

Anywho! Hope everyone has a great day/weekend, if I don't pop in again before then!

P.S. - Shels! Peach ice cream?! How do you make that? Now that sounds yum and nothing has sounded good to me in a while! ;)

Aw, good luck with your family Gossy.

I figured I'd follow the idea of banana ice cream, just freeze peaches and blend them. It didn't really work texture-wise, but I still thought it was delicious! I guess if you want the same feel, you're supposed to add a frozen banana, maybe some tahini. *shrug*

P.S. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top, a few walnuts and a squirt of agave, SOOOO good. :D
