Morning all~:)
Think I will be having watermelon, salad and green smoothies today...want to feel as light and wonderful as I can to fly on Thursday. I've been eating grawnola(mostly nuts and seeds) and glazed nuts lately for a fast snack and not feeling as peppy as I do without them, so going easier on that type of food for a few days. Looking forward to my trip. Hope everyone has a great day...will be back later to check in~!

Just having breakfast now: sprouted pecan cereal with organic blueberries and sprouted almond milk. Yummy!
Rest of the day will probably be my salad with sprouted lentils, pumpkin and sunflower seeds :)

GlimR - Have fun on your trip!
Happy Day 6 all! I was super lazy all weekend and really enjoyed my day off yesterday too. I was feeling super incredibly anxious about work this week though. I think I managed to finagle some time off for Thurs/Fri. Woo! I'm excited. I legitimately have a doctor follow up on Thursday, and so need a half day. It's at an odd time and there is no way I want to come back after it. I decided to request Friday off too as an extra treat to myself. Especially because *next* week I have to work Saturday, so, it's going to be a long one!
I can't be sure what is doing the trick (supps or raw food or both!) but I am feeling physically better the past few days. Still some lingering exhaustion, some sleep issues have started again (mostly inability to fall asleep - though today I might get back on track, we'll see), and my sinus gunk seems to be clearing (though I am still getting the occasional wad of ick). I am definitely feeling better than last time I hopped into raw. I think my "high raw" plan instead of "100% raw" is helping. I feel less restricted, even though I'm making raw food choices 99% of the time, I'm not having that "You're not allowed!!!" feeling that grows to resentment and then defiance ;). Being better prepared and less stressed I'm also consuming more than last time, so I'm not getting the horrible crashes I did. And this weekend really helped me detox as I could sleep whenever I wanted, eat whenever I wanted, consume massive amounts of water, and generally rest up.
I've realized a lot of my discomfort at work comes from being physically uncomfortable. Which cooked foods have a hand in. The more and more I eat raw I start to feel the difference internally. My belly can be full, but feel comfortable. Cooked food full = really uncomfortable and *not satisfied*. I'm really starting to see this too. I could eat massive amounts of cooked foods and still be wanting "something else". Whereas, when I eat massive amounts of veggies and fruits, I feel satisfied. It’s truly incredible! I keep making veggie soups for dinners and thinking "this won't be enough, I better grab some lettuce and sprouts and a few carrots too", and by the time I get through the soup I'm like "OH MAN! So full!" And I'm comfortably full too. I'm noticing that that feeling is helping me here at work. I used to eat a heavy icky cooked food breakfast, and then sit at work feeling really heavy and thick. Now, with my smoothies and salads, I maintain my light and thin feeling all throughout the day. My biggest hurdle is making sure I take the time to actually eat. Without eating I get the crashing, and that's no good!
So, lots of babble today, I just love to share my realizations with the world! :) It also helps for me to say it out loud, so when those SAD cravings hit I can go "No! It won't be worth it!"
Food plan for today is:
Green smoothie
Lemon honey water
Veggies (cucumber, celery, some peas, carrot)
Sunflower seeds
Tomato soup
Herbal tea with dried strawberry
I'm kind of getting tired of the tomato soup dinner (eep!) which makes me nervous as I don’t know what I'll make for dinners now! This is how I am. I want to eat the same thing every meal for a week or two, then I get tired of it and need to find something new. But when I'm not craving anything (like now) I get frustrated as I don't know what to eat! I literally cannot think of anything that sounds good. Then I wind up not eating. Then I get sick from that and disaster ensues! I think I might just start throwing some veggies in the food processor, chunking them up a bit, drizzling some oil, and eating that. It'll be a different texture than hand chopped, or soup. I could put that over some sprouts! And maybe a dash of spices! Actually that does sound good. Phew. Dinner problem solved :)
Hope everyone is having a rawsome day!

Feeling good today! A little sniffly, but nothing major. Today's my first day of a new semester and I didn't plan any sort of lunch ahead! Eek! I had a green smoothie for breakfast, a large glass of fresh carrot, orange and ginger juice for a snack, and I've made a big salad to eat at school. I'll just have a late dinner tonight when I get home.
My boyfriend has been about 99% raw for the last few days and he's had these really bad headaches (which he never gets, I'm usually the one who has a headache). I guess it could be a bit of a detox going on?? He's still feeling very positive about the raw thing and wants to keep it up. We both have some weight that we need to lose. I want to lose about 25 lbs and he wants to lose about 60 lbs. I've always been very slender but in the last year or so I gained all this weight on my stomach and ass, and it's not very evenly proportioned. My aunt's boyfriend asked if I was pregnant the other day. I was sooooo pissed off. I'm only 175 lbs and he's making me feel like crap because I have a womanly shape. Either way, I do need to lose a few pounds.

Hey all.
Yup queenkel, those headaches are detox, I'm glad you're still both positive about raw though.
Water today until about a half hour ago.
- Green smoothie
I'm having some serious chocolate cravings, but I don't have any recipes that aren't chock full of nuts or coconut oil. Hm.

Banana ice cream with whatever form of chocolate you use tossed in - I have a pure Dutch cocoa powder that I use, but whatever you use would probably do your craving just fine. :P
Today I've felt like crud for most of the day - didn't sleep well at all last night (nightmares), so it's been a weird day. So let's see, other than lots of water...
B - skipped, felt yucky
L - tiny salad, still felt kinda yucky
S - 1 glass of freshly juiced carrot/orange juice, started feeling a little better
D - huge kale/avocado salad with some extra yummies - cucumber and pumpkin seeds
Chances are I will probably have something later on, as I really haven't eaten much today, but we'll just see.
