I've had company for the last 5 days and been crazy busy but have stayed raw...and I am amazed at that, even though I have been cooking tons of SAD food for family. I have had beautiful salads and smoothies, even shared some green smoothie and had it received very well. I had one guest who is a diabetic and kept asking me about all the carbs(fruit) I was eating, concerned that I was eating WAY too much fruit and had I thought of having my blood sugar checked??? Meanwhile trying to push 5 hour energy shots on me!! WHAT??? I don't think so!!!

I have three days till I go on vacation for 10 days and am busy making some raw bread/macaroons, etc...to take with me on the trip. Luckily I have a hotel suite with a kitchenette in it so have a real fridge to use to keep things fresh and/or frozen AND a borrowed Vitamix for my stay so I don't have to haul mine on an airplane. We're going north to celebrate my mother's 90th b'day!!! Yeah Mom!!!! She is buying, ripening and freezing bananas for me for my green smoothies! I'm looking forward to the challenge of doing this while traveling...should be an adventure.

Food today~
Watermelon
green smoothie
salad
apples
and more but not sure what??? will be back~
Hope everyone has a great day~

I have felt amazing all day. I'm not sure if it's just excitement about my new plans or the good food already starting to kick in. Today I ate:

- green smoothie
- green salad
- a peach
- an apple
- another huge bowl of salsa soup

Hi all,
Jumping in to the challenge. It's already July 6 here in Scandinavia, but day 5, apart from some superfoods, I had:

~pear + strawberries
~icecream smoothie w. alfalfa + petals (lavender, rosehip, cress)

It was a very light return-to-raw-day. Even though I had done a dip into cooked the previous day & felt blah upon awakening, I started the day with a run before work & went gentle with myself, reflecting upon the lessons learned & motivating myself to be more consistent with raw.

GlimR, how lovely to share green smoothies & have them well received. Am reminded of how my 5-yrs old nephew made a little happy dance when we did a spinach/banana recently. Also sounds like you're all set up for a fabulously raw vacation!

Wow GlimR, way to keep at it. :)

I had more brazil nuts, and some snack bars I made. Definitely feeling all the nuts. I actually feel awful, honestly. I'm thinking I'll eat strictly living food for a few days. No nuts, no seeds, and probably no dates and avocados too.

Hi all, another fruity day for me..have been on bedrest with elevated foot since sunday night and it is taking its toll already..but fruit is easier to eat while in that position, did have a kale salad last night though..yum.
See you later today..
