No one has posted yet today?! Crazy!
Happy Day 2 to all!
I'm feeling the detox symptoms again. It doesn't help that my body is also trying to kick the sinus infection and adjust to new supplements. Lots of pampering is going to occur tonight when I get home from work!
My normal routine was totally thrown off today too by having to go first thing in the AM for bloodwork. I decided to make things as easy as possible and just grabbed whole items, made my smoothie, and jetted out the door pre-shower, pre-lemon honey water, etc. I don't feel so great because of that either. But I'm imagining the feeling when I get home . . . I'm going to make my lemon honey water, get that down fast (it really does perk me up and seem to be super cleansing!), take a nice relaxing and soothing shower (and use my neti pot - the bit of acidophilius powder in it yesterday really soothed my sinuses), then figure out dinner and lounge in jammie and bed reading! Should be great.
I haven't consumed enough food today (energy wise) but my stomach is kind of gurgly and not hungry so, why force it? I'm sure I can make it through the next few hours at least. So far today I've only had water and a big fat Granny smith apple. Man I love granny smiths! I'm sipping my smoothie now and have a raw bar in case of emergency. And a banana I plan to eat right before I leave so I'll have some energy to make a quick run to the grocery store. Luckily I need very few things so it'll be a fast shop.
I'm definitely starting to feel more anxious cravings for things. Its like my mouth can almost taste them. I've learned that lesson though, and I know indulging, even after a fully raw day otherwise, will lead to disaster. Though I do wish I had a raw alternative or two to quench the cravings. I'll have to dig through Alissa's book, see what sounds the best and would be easiest to make (as in, I have the ingredients, or only need one or two things) and give something a try this weekend.
I guess that's about it from me for now. I really am feeling like poo and just wanting to sleep - but proud of myself for continuing to function, coming into work, etc etc :) its the little pats on the back for doing things that keep me going :D
Hope everyone is having a rawsome day!

Do you just use hot water + fresh lemon juice + honey? Or is it something else? It sounds good, and heck, if it's good for ya, I'll jump on that wagon. :P

I saw your beet burger picture somewhere here earlier - how do you make that? And how do you make your marinara?
I woke up not feeling great today, so breakfast was just a bit of fruit and a small handful of pumpkin seeds + hot herbal tea and water, but I'm feeling better now so I'm in the middle of a large salad full of yummies.
Last night I made that berry jumble upside down cake, and it was so good that over the course of about 6-7 hours, I ate the entire thing. I really regretted that, as I felt like I'd swallowed an elephant whole. But wow it was good... in a small quantity. :P

I make the beet burgers after a recipe from a swedish raw chef...andteh marinara isfrom her too..but I also love Alissa's marinara sauce..
Beet burgers
2 medium/large sized beets, peeled and cut up.
1 avocado
1/2 red onion
1/2 tbsp mustard powder ( I used dijon mustard instead, not all raw but OK for me)
1 pinch salt.
2 tbsp capers (again not raw but ok for me, since I sometimes eat olives)
Fresh black pepper
-place all ingredients into food procc, give it a whirl until combined to a thick batter, shape into patties and eat with raw crackers, breads or greens. I ate mine ontop of a kale salad. I guess you could dehydrate but the recipe doesn't mention it..
Picture is on the picture thread.
Marinara
5 small/medium tomatoes
4-6 sundried tomatoes (I used 6)
1/2 red onion
1/2 tsp ginger
some sambal oelek
pinch salt.
-place in FP and whirl it about...lovely, spicy and full of flavor..
