My goal for this month is to visit the gym - literally 1 min away from my house & take in some treadmill time - so I can start reading my books again! :p
I hope to visit the gym 3-4 times per week in addition to teaching my 1 hour yoga classes on Tuesday & Thursday
I may throw some weight machines in there while I'm at it & some ab work as well. :cool:

Here's mine: Hit the gym five times a week for cardio (as I'm trying to release some of my excess poundage), and do weight training three times a week.

Thursday July 1st - Taught/did my 1hr yoga class - there was only 1 member there - so I guess I taught a personal yoga class :D

My goal this month is to continue with P90X plus extra cardio -- time and muscles permitting.
Today I did P90X Yoga X which is about 98 minutes and really get my heart rate up there!

To continue with my hoop dancing on my own until a class series for advanced beginners starts up in the fall - I've just attended 4 out of the 5 in the beginner series and I learned so much - the instructor is awesome! Plus there are numerous opportunities to hoop dance outside in parks on weekends around here. Also to continue with Pilates mat classes that I started up 6 weeks ago(offered at no extra cost at my gym taught by a terrific instructor). Both of these disciplines round out what I was already doing and the Pilates definitely was the missing link in core training for me. The report so far - my jeans fit a little bit looser than before, maybe a half-inch lost in the last few weeks which I didn't expect this soon, especially as a post-menopausal person(although that's no excuse not to try). Not to mention the great feeling that both of these classes give one. Both really bust one's butt in different ways. In the hoop class at first one doesn't really think one is doing all that much, but it sneaks up on one and by the end of a 90-minute class it's like having gone through a good cardio session but a lot more fun. I bought a hoop so I can practice any time. I had one of the light-weight hoops as a kid, plus I always liked dancing so this is a great fit. Took ballet in my earlier years as an adult too. Oh, and by the way, hooping and raw go GREAT together, as one wants high-energy food and drink for this kind of activity. Guess what's great for this - GREEN SMOOTHIES, like veganforlife would say!

I've incorporated a consistant activity plan the past week and half since rejoing th YMCA. Even with tommorow being a Holiday I have some cool friends offering a free Yo Chi class in the park.
My focus is 1 hr yoga 4x per week with swimming or weights and treadmill on the other days.
I'd like to get to a place where yoga is twice daily and my treadmill walking becomes nieghborhood jogging.

Zumba is a BLAST! I was concerned that it would be a bunch of 20 year olds yet noooooo. The instructor is almost 50; all the other women were over 40.... all different levels. No pressure. Just come and play!!! She teaches in two locations near me so I can, if I wish, go 5 days a week! Going tomorrow a.m! Thanks for asking. :)

Took the bike out at 5 a.m. for 20 minutes. Went to bed at 11:30 last night; up at 4:30 this morning ... feeling SO good.
Friend coming over at 10:30 to play with some medicine balls, etc. Then walking up to the organic food store up the street.

Thursday 7/8/10 - Taught/did my 1hr yoga class - I'm still juice fasting - it's nice to know you are not limited in activities while doing one.....;)
Today is day 7 of my juice feast/fast - I will be going to a 2 day yoga training this weekend - hopefully I'll have enough juice with me to give me the energy I need! :cool:

Just returned from my second Zumba class. Paid for a 10-class pass BUT, I can be a guest at other facilities she teaches at soooo, can do 3 classes a week at one, and 3 more at another!!! *does happy Zumba dance* :D
I need watermelon!!!

I've been thinking of trying it at my gym - 40 and 50-year-olds sounds great to me! I also have the Zumba DVDs - now I'm inspired!

Oh, I'm talking over 50 too (since I'm 61)... it is fast paced for the most part yet, I just stay in the back where I've got a really good view of her and do what I can. I KNOW w/in a few weeks I'll figure out most of what she's doing, especially if I do it 5 times a week AND I'm meeting some seemingly very nice women there. Everyone is very encouraging.
Some of the moves are similar to my Turbo Jam dvd's. Not sure if I'll get any Zumba vids.... if I don't make it to class, I'll just turn on Turbo Jam methinks. :)

Today is day 10 of my juice fast!! :D I will be gently breaking my fast starting tomorrow. I was amazed at how "easy" it was to do!! In the past I failed at some fasting attempts & ended up bingeing afterwards......I wanted this fast to be different & successful. I have felt so "calm" doing this (with the exception of day 3). I'm so happy I enlisted in Aleesha's fast coaching service - to me it made all the difference in the world!! :D
So, back to exercise!
I just did a 2 day yoga training on Sat & Sun = lots of movement.....feeling muscles that I haven't in a while....:p
I will just put the amount of time that we practiced continuously......
Sat 7/10/10 - 1 1/2hrs
Sun 7/11/10 - 1 1/2hrs
I had a lot of fun & feel good with all the movement I got in :cool:

Happily hooping here(in addition to my other stuff) - went to my first outdoor hoop jam on Saturday, put on by my instructor after our class series wound up, before she leaves for the summer - awesome! 2 hours of spinning fun with great tunes. By the way, the raw macaroons(apricot-orange this time)that I brought along with some strawberries were a big hit amongst the hoopers!

Was planning on doing Zumba last night but the bike extender came yesterday so we could put my bike on the rack and take it over to the Rose Bowl and ride. That's what we did.

Hey folks,
I'm still on track, cycling everyday to work and back sometimes I take a longer route home and 2 times a week inline-skates. I just do not have always the time to post it here.
BUT I do support you all mentally and if someone needs a kick in the butt to move the same, consider it done.

Yoga didn't go today. Ended up not doing it!! :(
I'm getting into a bad habit of sitting at the computer when I get up in the morning and it's taking up alot of my time to where I only have time left to get ready in the morning. So gotta exercise first thing when I get out of bed like I was doing before with P90X, get ready, then check out the computer before my day starts!! Geesh!!
I promised I will do Yoga P90X tomorrow and be faithful to the routine for the countdown till 90 days and for a lifestyle! That's why I'm here, because this is usually a point after two months when I start slacking every time in the past and I really the need encouragement and support!!!! So this is going to be a breakthrough ever for the first time in my life that I'm going to get past two months of working out straight through without taking big long breaks to a point where I'm not working out anymore, then when I do breakthrough, I'll keep it up for a lifestyle!
I'm gonna breakthrough my old pattern of being lazy after two months!!! :cool:

Started Week 2 of P90X Lean Phase 2 - today's workout was Core Synergistics.
Was gonna go to Spin class at the gym tonight, but my little brother was in town from So Cal and we went to dinner with the parental units (mom and dad).
I had a lovely bowl of lettuce and 3 side orders of avocado . . .

I did it!! I did Yoga X!! It's getting easy where this is my first time around to do push ups before downward dogs!!

I want to say that I'm so good at this a couple years from now and for many more years to come, that's really my goal! Life time results is what I have in mind! :D

I did Back and Bicep with Ab Ripper X! 10lb dumbells is getting too light!! So gonna work out with 12lb with some of the moves in the future!!! My arms are really getting toned from this!! :eek: Nice!!!! :)

The 12 lb is mainly for my biceps and legs, the rest of my arms and back will still be working out with 10 lb.
And I'm so glad you're doing P90X, it's so exciting that we're bringing it!!!
I love it when Tony goes, "Do your best!" And everyone else goes, "Forget the rest!!" That's what counts!!!! ;)

I did Yoga X this morning, back to the morning routine. Didn't think I needed it till I did it, it's amazing how this really just get all the tension out in all of my joints! And I'm also doing facial exercises at night before I go to sleep!! :D

I had a really really good run today. Did some pilates beforehand, and then when I started out I was in a terrible mood, totally disgusted with myself. In fact, I almost gave up and went back home to throw a little pity party, but something made me keep going. Afterwards, I came back and took a freezing shower, and stretched and drank water and I feel like I'm positively teeming! Exercise is so powerful. Instead of being disgusted I now feel strong and vital. It feels so good I wanted to share it with you. :D Cheers everyone!

Saturday 7/31/10 - I finally got the membership to the gym by my house!!
I walked on the treadmill for 45min reading a book......ahhhh, heaven!! ;)
