can't sprout oat

Oat is the only cereal I have tried to sprout and it always ends up in the bin, rotten. I would like to try spelt to make some cakes and bread but first I would like to know how you go about sprouting these? Are they as difficult to sprout as oat?

anyone, correct me if i'm wrong - but oats don't sprout - you can just soak them over night - then use. ;)

oat groats are heat processed before packaging so they won't sprout. :cool:
