Hi! I've been a vegetarian for almost seven years, and a vegan for almost six months. I have major issues with hypoglycemia and I'm hoping that switching to a diet that has more raw foods and less processed foods will help me maintain a steady bloodsugar.

Right now I'm not aiming for 100% raw... but I'm really serious about wanting to switch to more raw foods (which would pretty much be any raw food right now!)

I actually tried my first green smoothie today as a first step towards going raw and although the concept freaked me out a little I ended up loving it! (which is a surprise because I normally HATE green leafy things). It had arugula, banana, and apple in it.

I'm really excited and praying this will actually help my hypoglycemia.

Hi mangomonkey - sounds like you are in the right place -- here with us on RFT!

Since going from vegetarian to vegan to raw, I find my blood sugar naturally remains stable.

Arugula in a smoothie is one of my favorites!

Welcome!
