I was wondering if any one has ever ground up black beans in Coffey grinder and then add that to a fruit smoothies as an add source of protein?
just wondering,
John

I doubt you're going to get any protein from that as, I'm thinking it's indigestible. Why wouldn't you just add greens which are bio-available?

sprouted chickpeas and lentils, mung beans and aduki beans are ok raw if sprouted first, but sprouted/raw black beans, kidney beans, etc are toxic raw. i wouldnt do this. use hemp or chia seeds or some other nut or seed

This op has not posted since. Does anybody have even the slightest idea as to why someone would post that query and then disappear out of our lives. I am curious as to the motives.

Who knows what's going on in other people's lives. This person could be in hospital, car accident etc. I'm sure there are reasons and i'm sure this forum isn't the most important thing in their life unlike for some.

You need to sprout beans in order for them to be digested. Even in that form, they should be very limited. A lot of beans are toxic if eaten raw and not sprouted. IMO, I wouldn't mess with them raw.

The more I read, the more I think I am just going to avoid benas and eat limited nuts- almost none.

I buy mung bean sprouts and alfalfa sprouts for a dollar a bag, so it is more convenient anyway.

I got 99 cent a pound strawberries again today...I'd rather eat them any day! Can't wait for watermelon to go on sale again.

Maybe the black beans really were toxic . . .
