Well, folks I think I'll have to bow out of the raw foods challenge for now. I'm just eating way too much junk and I need to get a regular healthy diet under my belt before I try to tackle Raw. But on a lighter note, Good Luck to all the awesome people here who are sticking to a raw diet.:)

Bom dia!
Brrrr. It's 46 degrees this morning. Thankfully, we have a clear sky so it will warm up quickly once the sun gets higher.
Gothiclove - try to transition to raw in stages. A smoothie in the morning to start your day, then healthy cooked vegan meals. Then when that is comfortable, go raw until supper. The last stage to totally raw is easier after that. I wish you the best!
Here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - banana, orange, kale smoothie
Lunch - grapefruit
Supper - banana, apple, lemon, spinach smoothie

Happy 29th Everyone!
NellieBelle - Two thumbs up and totally agree with your advice to Gothic. One of my biggest mistakes at the beginning of my raw adventure (a mere few weeks ago!) was trying to jump into 100% raw, and make fancy meals to boot! I realized I needed to make things much less stressful, and just put together smoothies, juices, and meals that weren't "replacement" meals (as in, raw concoctions that taste like SAD foods - those tend to be the high stress, lots of work things to make on raw, at least for me right now), instead, just throw together veggies I like for a salad. And things are totally working out much better for me. I'll worry about meal replacement type dishes as need be. For now, simplicity is key!
Speaking of which, I felt overwhelmed this morning so I cut back on prep. I didn't make juice, which means my smoothie is my breakfast. So I had to figure out lunch. I just threw some chopped up veggies in a big container and brought that with me. I have several whole fruits (banana and one of my big delicious granny smith apples!) to eat today too. It's harder to multi-task at work and eat the whole (instead of liquid) foods, but I just needed to make things easier for myself. So I did! Plus, the work break won't be so bad. Assuming I can take 5 minutes to stop and eat.
Not sure about dinner yet, but since I won't be running errands after work, and only have a load or two of laundry to do tonight, I have plenty of time to figure it out and make something. Probably tomato soup again ;) my fav right now!
I have an appointment with a holistic doctor tomorrow, and hopefully it will mean the end of my sinus issues. I've tried every home remedy I can think of, but this obviously needs something stronger. I refuse to take systemic antibiotics for it again, as they rip apart my system and have done next to nothing. I don't think I have to fear a yelling match with this doctor about that either. I'm open to nasal spray antibiotics since those will be shot right to the problem area, and likely have minimal systemic effects, though I really am doubting it's an infection. I really think it's related to allergies or yeast or Idunnowhat but not "infection". So we'll see. I'm hopeful she'll have a solution. I just want this post-nasal drip, which is constant and unending and has been for over a year now, gone! That'll make me so happy.
Alright, I better at least pretend to be working now ;) Catch you folks later!

Hey all.
Good job keeping on top of things, Gossy. =] They are messy, but I love eating whole fruits.
-Green smoothie
-Date-coconut rolls
-Banana ice cream
-Wakame'n'cheese
Wow am I ever full. Saw the doctor today, who (of course) expressed concern over my weight, so I took that as license to stuff myself. Hate when I do that, my tummy hurts now.
I never want to see another sea veggie again.

Still not feeling well at all. I've tried not to come on here and complain, and I've tried to stay positive, but my body is not behaving.
I didn't eat much today, not really hungry, and just feeling pretty bad.
I'm still praying about what to do.
