Good Morning Rawsters!

Hope everyone slept well and is going to have/having an awesome raw day.

Last night I made sure to make a plan for my food today. Without writing it down I just forget. I'm sure at some point I'll be well trained/comfortable enough to wing it. But right now? No way! So I have my list of what I'm making today and even what container I plan to put it in so I don't feel too overwhelmed. I'm excited about my choices for today.

So far I've started off with about 8 ounces of lemon honey water. What an experience that was! Easy to make, nice and fresh and yum, and man, did I feel an immediate and clear reaction in my sinuses. I have no idea what it is, but I think the honey does something to whatever weird infection/allergy issue I have going on in my sinuses still. I'm actually in quite a bit of sinus pain now. I'm hoping the oil pull I'm doing (and failing at not swallowing tiny bits of!) and neti pot will clear whatever the lemon honey water just woke up. That'd be awesome. I'm so sick of post-nasal drip all day!

The rest of my plan is to make a smoothie and juices for meals, and have some soup and lettuce for dinner. I am kind of missing having chocolately desserty stuff, but I feel my body needs a break from all that, so I'm giving it one.

I'm truly amazed that after a day of mostly raw consumption yesterday I fell asleep right when I wanted to, I slept soundly all night, and woke up feeling pretty refreshed before my alarm even! And since my spin class is on break this week, I can turn my Saturday morning alarm off, and sleep till my body naturally wakes me up again. Love it! I love waking up naturally, and not because I'm anxious and stressed, and feeling refreshed. It is the best feeling in the world. I hope it continues!

Have an awesome day peeps, I'll be checking in frequently from my crazy work place I'm sure! ;)

อรุณสวัสดิ์

I have to say that my sleep has also improved and I'm waking up refreshed. I haven't had a cup of wake-me-up coffee in a month.
So, here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - orange, kale smoothie
Lunch - ½ melon
Supper - banana, apple, lemon, spinach smoothie

Look at that amazing blender full of raw goodness you had GlimR! Wow! I should have taken a picture of my green juice I made today. Me! Drinking green juice! And liking it!

So far today I'm having my smoothie and juice.

Smoothie = 1 orange, half bag of organic frozen peaches (maybe about 5-6 ounces?), lots of spinach, ice, honey. This is absolutely my new favorite smoothie. So tasty, yet so easy to make, no tummy upset like I was getting when I put banana in, and its nice and thick.

Juice = 1 cucumber, 3 stalks of celery, 3-4 large red swiss chard leaves, 1/2 lemon (removed rind), handful of alfalfa sprouts.

I was freaking out internally about the juice taste. I was thinking "Oh man, this is way greener than anything I've ever made (except for straight salad), I'm not going to like it, then I'll have wasted all this good produce!" But after blending, straining, and sipping . . . . I LOVE IT!!!. It tasted super fresh, green, and full of cucumber. That was really all I tasted on first sip, maybe the fresh celery taste too. It is currently in an air tight bottle in the fridge. I know its best to drink juices right away, but with my work schedule and inability to blend during the day, it'll have to do. I'm just hoping it retains its flavor. We'll see!

I'm planning to make a light tomato soup for dinner tonight. Going to throw in a huge tomato, some celery, scallion, and garlic, with some spices and pepper and salt. I'm also planning to eat some romaine leaves after that to round out my day. May also have a few dried fruit pieces (organic and chemical free! and sundried for that matter) for dessert, and am planning an herbal tea with honey bedtime drink.

I am ridiculously excited about my meals today. I feel full of energy, spunk, and am so excited the weekend is almost here! Definitely going to have a super relaxing weekend is the plan. Movies, reading, maybe some video games, and naps!

I'm still having some sinus pain (right in the front of my face and a tiny bit above my eyes/top of my head) but instead of getting too mopey I'm telling myself its from the cleansing lemon honey water. I think if it was much worse I might need to get a warm cloth and put it on my face . . . so hopefully it stays at this level or dissipates until I get home. Considering the immediate reaction I had this morning I'm thinking I'm going to have to make lemon honey water a morning staple! Hopefully it'll help me detox.

Alright, enough babble and work avoidance ;)

Gossy, glad you have a plan. Your experience with juicing makes me want to try it. I've been thinking I should, but now I'm eager to.

I'm feeling a little off today. I might still be working off the intestinal ick after eating those sweet potato chips yesterday. Feeling a little nauseated and hungry at the same time.

B: smoothie with spinach, blueberries, bananas
S: a little dried fruit and nuts, kale chips
L: onion bread with half each avo, tomato and cucumber with a little himalayan salt
D: same as lunch, that was tasty
S: chewy sesame cookies

Good to see everyone cheery.

Today was okay, busy busy busy at work. My breakfast smoothie had to be put off until lunch.
L: Avo/chocolate/green smoothie. More like pudding, really.
Going out for dinner with my parents and fiance, so I'll probably end up with a boring romaine salad, and treat myself to some dates when I get home.
Tomorrow's shopping day!

Very busy day here too, and still not feeling that well. No appetite :(

Watermelon

Salad with Romaine, Avocado, Sea Flakes, Coconut Aminos, Dill

Almonds

Really bad storms tonight, but I love the way the rain makes everything feel, and smell fresh.

I'm missing my oldest daughter :( She went to spend some time with her friend, which lives about 2 hours away. She left on Tues. and won't be home till Sunday. She's like my right hand, and I don't know what to do when she's not here. We are like best friends, and I miss our daily talks. I love all my kiddos, and feel very blessed to be a momma to 4 ;)
