Good morning all!
I kind of messed up and dropped off a bit on being raw this month. No more excuses or whatnot for myself though! I've been figuring out a plan that works for me and I'm hoping to be back on track at 100% or very close starting by July 1st at the latest! I'm very excited to try out making some smoothies and juices this weekend. And next weekend is a three day one for me and I'm definitely planning to juice fast/water fast and give my belly a break after "falling off the wagon" so to speak!
Wanted to stop by to cheer everyone on. Only a few more days this month! You all are awesome!
And I fully intend to raw it up today. Going to make some green juice and fruit juices for myself this morning, and how easy is it going to be just taking some bottles of fresh juices to work for meals today?! I'm super excited about that. Hopefully they stay fresh or I'll be water fasting today instead :)!
EDIT: Just had to pop back in and say I'm so super proud of myself already today! Not to toot my own horn ;) but in a fairly timely manner I managed to make myself some carrot, apple, parsley, and lemon juice for my juice lunch, I made a super yummy orange, peach, baby spinach, and honey smoothie for breakfast, I brought coconut water and dried apricots and figs for later too. I'm feeling good that I made healthy, raw food choices for my day. The paint strainer bag worked like a charm for my juice too. I know my stomach will enjoy the break of having juices, and now I see I can totally manage making it without the additional expense of a juicer! I'm feeling light and fulfilled so far today. Hoping it keeps up!

Well done, Gossy! It sounds like you've got things sussed! I've been tweaking and adjusting to find what works for me and what doesn't and it's so liberating to be aware and learn from my choices rather than be judgemental and critical about them.
Brekkie - blueberry, strawberry, grape, banana and hemp oil smoothie
Lunch - banana, some watermelon and an apricot
Dinner - olives, avocado, vine cherry toms
Snack - 2 medjool dates

Good afternoon!
Everybody is doing GREAT! I'm so proud of you all.
I woke up late today (guess my body needed the sleep) and had blended watermelon with wheatgrass.
I plan on juicing some oranges and snacking on apples and mangoes today. I'll probably do a green smoothie before I head off to class.

Hey everybody, I've been super busy lately and subsequently I have "fallen off the wagon" so to speak for the last few days, but today is a new day and I'm going to try to do better.:)

Hi all...
Busy day today with a 4-hour interview for school. I'm happy that it's over and I look forward to the acceptance letter arriving in a couple of weeks!
I find it interesting to see how I am much better able to distinguish what my body is asking for now that I'm off of SAD and all the junk! I have been keeping it simple with my meals and my body seems to really be liking that. Tonight instead of salad dressing on my salad, I made a mango/tomato/corn/onion/garlic/cilantro salsa. YUM!!! :D After dinner, I added more tomato, another ear of corn and the other half of the mango to expand it so that I have more salsa over the next few days.
I had a lovely hike this afternoon and tonight I am once again grateful to be raw!!! :p

Gossy!!!! I'm so glad you're back. I've been thinking about you and hoping you would be back.
Gothiclove, welcome back as well!
Good day for me here. I ate some sweet potato chips today, but I think raw sweet potato doesn't agree with me. I've been bloated and gassy all day.
B: green smoothie with a TON of spinach and chard, bananas, frozen mango/strawberry/pineapple/peach, nutritional yeast
L: cherries
S: strawberries and banana, also zucchini and sweet potato chips
D: watermelon
S: raw chocolate fudge

Awww - thank you all for the loving supportive messages! You all are the best :)
I had a very "up" day. Some down moments of energy loss and anxiety/sadness, but I redirected the energy to my raw food planning and that really helped.
I had a delicious smoothie this morning (and it was so easy to make!), yummy coconut/pineapple juice for snack, and my homemade apple/carrot/celery/lemon juice around lunch. I actually fell into my not eating enough/fast enough trap again today though. I felt myself crashing big time around 2PM. But I made it through. So the plan tomorrow is to make sure to add another juice in there somehow. I really enjoy the smoothie to start my day, and with having to go to work and not wanting it to be melty, that really is best for my first meal. I realize a more complex smoothie (versus juice) might be a better lunch meal for me, but until I figure out how to do that and keep it nice and icy smooth . . . it'll have to be breakfast.
I'm looking up recipes for making a large batch of green juice. I've also come to notice fruit really does a number on me. I don't mind adding a few pieces for flavor and sweetening, but my carrot apple juice had way too much apple. I didn't feel a hyper sugar spike from it, but I think it might have contributed to my energy drop. So for tomorrow I'm planning to just have smoothie and coconut/pineapple water again, then make sure I switch to more complex greenie juice, less fruit. And I already know what I'm making for dinner (a yummy broccoli salad type recipe - found here of course!). I'm also planning to eat dinner right when I get home (unless I'm super stuffed but I doubt that) because I think part of my insomnia and sleep issues is not having a resting belly when I go to bed. I eat way too late.
Anywho - just thought I'd share my day and thoughts, and some of the things I'm working on and trying out to get myself into high/100% raw. I really found today to be super low stress, and my juice tasted great even after a few hours in the fridge. I'm so excited tomorrow is Friday and I have absolutely no commitments this weekend to worry about. I'm actually planning to visit a specialty store locally that apparently sells raw smoothies, juices, and foods! I think I'm going to sample and see how I like it. That way they can be my fall back lunch joint if I wake up one day and just can't deal with making lunch to take to work. Considering my "fall back" now is just eating cooked, having this as an option will be a huge help. I hope their stuff really is raw (and tasty!). I'm going to grill them when I go in about how they juice and all that :)
Thanks again to everyone for the responses :) I feel so special! And super happy to be on the way back to Rawville!

daY 24.... wow time sure fly when you're in detox fog!! ahahhaaaa!
Looks like everyone is still cruisin.... and Gossy good for you!! YOU'RE STILL RAWkn it girl! excellent!
the vertigo has lessened... very strange... but the runny / stuffy nose is gone along with sore throat and migraine... so it's all good. I'm watching the fruit intake as that was a major issue for me a couple of years ago.
I'm excited to be off mono meals ... and looking forward to a very BEAUTIFUL, vibrant and colorful salad this evening! :D

Yay! Gossy's back!
I'm a bit moody, as I had a short discussion with my sweetheart earlier about raw food and "getting enough" (or too much) of any given nutrient. I'm sick of his know-it-all skepticism.
At any rate, I'm happy and healthy, and he can spout all the condescending misconceptions he wants and it won't change a thing.
Erm, anyway.
S: Pineapple
B: Spinach and red bell pepper
L: Dates
S: Truffles, more bell pepper and a bite of beet.
