Alissa's nut brittle saved my life!!!! Ok, maybe not THAT dire, but I ALMOST gave into temptation. I'm just feeling "greened" out! Like if I had to eat one more plant I'd go crazy! The craving for something dense, cooked and chewy just totally bowled me over! I almost gave in until I remembered I had the brittle in the D (turned off too cool). I tried some of that and WOW that just hit the spot perfectly!!!! Next time I make it I'm going to add some dried fruit (dried cranberries or goji berries I think) and shape them into bars. Oh this great! Now I've had my dense, chewy carb fix and feel ready for a salad again :D

I think I've finally recovered from my almond butter overload this past weekend. :o Ugh, that was a heavy few days, horrible elimination.
Just water today until a couple hours ago, to give my body a little break, and then I tried a raw bar (found out afterward it was only about 90% raw :( ) and had a spinach-cocoa smoothie with dates. I bought my maca today! We'll see how it works out.
Yum, GlimR, what do you glaze the walnuts with?

Sounds like some struggles today, hang in there guys! Stumbles happen.
I am having an all right day. Feeling kind of so-so this evening.
B: green smoothie with chard, banana, frozen mango/strawberry/peach/pineapple
S: few strawberries and raspberries, onion bread
L: missed, due to being at a neighbor's house all afternoon who had nothing I could (would) eat.
D: chocolate ice cream (avo, spinach, dates, honey) with a sprinkle of hemp seeds and cacao nibs.
S: cherries

Oh man today was the hardest day yet :(. I came soooooooooo close to falling off the wagon (BIG TIME too) but I did end up staying raw. Not the BEST food choices for the day (predominantly nuts) but I did make it. Wow, this was the hardest day yet :(

21 Cherries
Pineapple
Salad with....
Romaine Lettuce
Raw Non GMO, organic corn scraped off the cob into my salad
Avocado
Sea Flakes
Raisins
Sorry to hear some of us are having a hard time, but just think some of us have almost made it 30 days!!! YEAH!!!
I watched the movie "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days"
Not that I have diabetes, but it was very encouraging, and I do know people that this movie may help.
It took 6 people that had either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, and put them on a 100% vegan raw food diet, and the results were AMAZING!!!!
Night!

shels~
I use organic maple syrup (not raw)but you could use honey or agave but I find they never dry right or get crisp enough...the amount is very small per batch. Toss the nuts with that and they sprinkle on salt, cinnamon, any spices you like, lucuma and mesquite powder.toss well and dehydrate till dry and crisp..they last a long time and a little adds a big punch to salads.
