New combo called "clean out the fridge juice"

Strawberries, chayote squash, apple, carrot

On that note, I am very disappointed with the Hamilton Beach Juicer. Yes, it juices and the juice tastes great. BUt, all the pulp was still wet and it made a mess. Nothing like the Jack LaLanne one at all. At least that one had bone dry pulp and did not make a mess with pulp shooting ll over. I have no problem cutting things up before jucing them, so I didn't care about that part.
HB was only $30 so I figured I could live with it having just returned the JLL expensive one that broke after 4 uses. Maybe I should just get another one and hope I had bad luck with that first one?

Try putting the pulp through a few times and get more from it. I do that all of the time.

Blend it with a little water and strain through a nut milk bag or paint straining bag. I get my pulp so dry that way that it literally crumbles in to "dust" when I take it out of the bag for cleanup.

Good plan. I have to get a bag though. It's jsut that you would think the jucier would do its job the first run. The one thing I can say about the expensive one was that it definitely juiced the life out of everything...no moisture in that pulp. I guess I was expecting something similar.

i have a tribest solostar thats pretty good. pretty expensive too but ive had it for years. its a single-auger juicer, probably runs between 250 and 300 dollars, but dry pulp and you can also make banana ice cream etc in them. samsons are similar design too. keep an eye out on craigs lists and ebay and you might find a better juicer cheap. clean up is a bit of a pain with these kind though

I ended up getting a different Jack La Lanne juicer, 2 for 1 combo price. They are being shipped as I write. I got the warranty and I also feel better knowing that I have 2 of them plus I still have the Hamilton Beach one. Maybe I should have just gotten the bag and did it that way. I think I am paranoid that a bag sold for paint has chemicals on it that I shouldn't be using for food.

My bags were not sold for paint. They are sold for sprouting. You could just get some of those.
