Today I attempt to make almond butter!

For the rest of the month I'm going to have a green smoothie in the evening also. I just can't stand another store bought tomato. I'll wait until I can harvest my own and that might be August...
Anyway, here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - banana, apple, lemon, spinach smoothie
Lunch - carrot, cauliflower, celery
Supper - banana, orange, kale smoothie

Yummy green smoothie for breakfast (as usual :))
I'm road-trippin to TN so grapes will be my food of choice
Probably more fruit!

I started with just nectarines and bananas, but I wasn't digging them plain, so I just dumped the leftovers in the VM and added spinach, water and ice for a smoothie. I wasn't liking green smoothies lately, but I forgot the most basic aspect of smoothies - when you don't like them, add more or less water and change the consistency! Much better :)

I've been, oddly, a little "stopped up" the past day or so, but that was resolved this morning. Thank goodness. I feel so much better when I'm not carrying all of that around. LOL
I'm going to do a smoothie this morning, and then have veggies with raw ranch dressing for lunch.
Dinner will probably be salad, and I'll snack on apples with almond butter and honey. DBF bought beautiful bananas yesterday, so I can't wait to tuck into those.
I'm feeling better today, still a bit hazy and tired, but there is no nausea.
I hope everyone has a beautiful raw day!

I'm really having a good day. I didn't make any food last night so I'm grazing on whatever fruit and veggies I have around. I brought a Thai Coconut to work and my butcher's knife. :D Those coconuts are just sublime, I love drinking the water in them.
I got another order from Raw Food World today. Got some Turkish Figs mmmm and raw Peruvian Olives, I'm not sure about those just yet as they are kind of strange. I also got the new coconut secret items. The big winner of my order.....Sedona Chocolate's Cacao L.O.V.E Cup's. I swear they are like just like SAD chocolate. They are out of this world good!
So not sure what I will have tonight. I'm not much of a food planner, I'm more of eat whatever as you go or whatever sounds good. I'm not sure how long I would make it if I had to stick to a rigid plan.

So I didn't manage to keep it yesterday, I broke it in the evening....BUT :) today I have been 100 % raw, and feel it's a turning point towards success :)
B: Green smoothie
L: carrot/cucumber/sprout salad with sesame oil, ginger, soya
D: Marinated Broccoli/mushroom/sprouts with avo.

Feeling great today, and lots of energy.
Went and had a massage this morning and it was awesome!!!
Today so far I've had....
65 yummy organic cherries (and yes I counted them out) :D
For supper I may have a green smoothie, or do just some avocado mixed with tomato. Depends on what I feel like in 2 hours.
I'm really noticing the less I eat the better I feel, and the more energy I have. And when I didn't add any fats in yesterday, besides what's in the fruit and greens, it helped me feel better too.
It's always a guessing game with me though
I'll check back in with ya'll tonight!!

Today has been good.
L: Green smoothie
Thinking some bell pepper and avo for dinner, but a coconut is calling my name.
06-17-2010, 07:07 PM
Have I posted this yet? LOL
L: orange bell pepper and zucchini with raw ranch dressing
D: probably a green smoothie
My stomach is really messed up after that lunch. It's interesting to note that the last time I tried zucchini with a creamy sauce that I was feeling yucky afterwards, too. I think I'll stay away from this combination from now on.

I'm back to report the rest of my day.
Really sore after my massage today, but my therapist told me my neck was really tight, and had a ton of trigger points, so she really worked it for me.
I'm icing it now, so hopefully it will feel better in the morning.
Here's my whole day...
Salad with Romaine Lettuce, Celery, Avocado, and some almonds. I know I said I was going to try and stay away from the almonds, but I just get so stinkin hungry late in the afternoon, and it's better than grabbing something cooked and unhealthy.
We did our 3 mile walk tonight. I always forget to add that to my journal, but we normally walk every night.
06-18-2010, 12:08 AM
I got my water kefir grains today! I'm so stinkin' excited :D
Had an okay day until the evening, when I ate a bunch of non-raw cookies. At my sister's house for knitting night. I notice a trend. This is when I broke 100% last week too. Grrr.
B: green smoothie with kale, banana, feijoa, mango, lemon juice, raw almond milk, nutritional yeast and a bit of blackstrap molasses (I think the nut yeast and molasses helped my tiredness, I was MUCH less lethargic this afternoon!)
L: marinated kale, romaine with raw onion dressing, homemade pickled cucumber onion and carrot, banana with almond butter (took lunch out today in a bento box... I love bento lunches...)
D: smoothie with spinach, raspberries, blueberries, splash of almond milk
S: SAD cookies
