Hi!
Alissas first book were really a inspirational push in the beginning of my transformation. I eat 811 right now and love to continue my journey.

Thx! I live in Sweden, Stockholm. And for the news from us, is that there's some festivals and other things coming up more and more. But it's just about 200-300 people that are interested with raw food in the whole country (calculated by me). But it's growing, indeed! :)

Hejsan Jacob,
I am from sweden as well, although live in Houston TX. I love Alissa's book, it is the best.
Check out, since you live in Sweden...

811 is another way to eat raw - We don't promote it here but some members do follow it. Also called 80-10-10 - it represents the percentages of types of food you consume.
Welcome to the forum Jacob!

Hejsan Jacob,
Check out Renee Voltaire's books, since you live in Sweden...

It's short for 80/10/10, the best book on the subject is The 80/10/10-diet by Douglas Graham, or you can say lowfat-highcarb-highleafygreen. 95% of my calories are from fruit and 5% are from leafy greens.
Yeah, I met Renee, she's MUCH more into raw food now, before she just got a 50% intrest into it.
Nice it's some swedes here.

This is Alissa's site. She pays for it. Why are you promoting someone else's book and way of eating on this site which is FREE to use and developed to promote Alissa's way of eating raw?
welcome ! peace and blessings !

A lot of us here are 80 10 10 and I do not feel that it goes against what Alissa teaches. She says to listen to your body and eat what it tells you and that is what my body tells me.
It does not take away from the fact that Alissa's book is fantastic and deserves a lot of credit. A lot of us would probably not have stuck to raw without it.

Yeah, it does ~ FIRST rule for posting ~
1. No threads/discussions dedicated to “other” approaches to raw foods. This includes such diets as 8-1-1, low-fat, low-fruit, natural hygiene, fruitarian, raw meat/dairy-eating, mono-eating, no-grains, no-fruit etc.
What you do personally, is not the issue. What you post here may be.

I'm sorry for the ruckus being made and must admit I'm really bad at reading the rules for all the forum I register on.
My personal opinion and afterthought about the rules are that why stop evolving? Why must we stop eachother from bringing a more "global mind" and broad-thinking, not narrowminded living?
But as you go to the different forums for different things, like gardening, science or just programming C++, there must be rules and it would be more comfortable and less jidderish if you follow the rules AND if I just read the rules next time. :D:D:D

No worries. I've been asked to leave more than one for not following the rules I've not read either. :o
