I LOVE the holloween apples that come out this time of year.
Does anyone have a raw version?

I thought about dipping a apple in honey and rolling it in smashed walnuts or almond dust?

What do you think?

Okay, is this RP's recipe dehydrated? That looks SO good!! That looks just like the "Wrapples" I used to get when I was a kid. Only thing is you'd put it in the oven and the caramel would melt, but I know that tastes good even if not melted.

I'll be making those this fall for sure!

Yes it is. I just poured it into little puddles and dehydrated. SSSOOOOO GREAT !!! I wasn't sure how I was going to get throught the fall without my caramel apples.....well my prayers have been answered fer sure !!!!

And if you don't dehydrate to long they'll even be kinda gooey! So when you wrap them and then bite into them, it's just about the same darn thing as the bad for ya ones!

Thanks again Rawkinlocs!

Mmmmm...my mouth is watering!!! :p

Thanks for the tip. Up until this point, I was just making the caramel sauce and dipping apple wedges into it...this way will be more fun!

Anyone who thinks eating raw has to be boring or drab REALLY needs to check out our recipe section here!

Yes your right. That's funny you mentioned the sauce and dipping the apple wedges because that's what I did tonight for our snack. It was gone in under 20 minutes...and I made a double batch!

The next time I make'em I'm going to use bigger apples or make bigger caramel wrappings.

I made the caramel sauce last night and we dipped our apples in it. My husband liked this recipie, He says he can't go completely raw because he doesn't like alot of the things I make, so when he likes a recipie it's an accomplishment.

I know this is a little late, but I make these every year with my girls (don't need to worry about them burning their hands). What we do is blend up mejool dates until they are a paste, wrap them around green apples (they do need to be green apples) and then roll in chopped nuts. They are a bit messy to make, but SO easy and taste so good! I even made these for a rawluck I went to and it received good marks. Just another alternative if you don't have the time/ingredients for the carmel recipe.
