Good morning rawbies!
I'm excited to say that by tomorrow afternoon I will be the proud owner of a juicer! YAY!!! :D
I'm looking forward to getting back to work today as I always do better with structure in my day. It always seems to me that I tend to eat more mindlessly when I'm not sure what to do with myself . The crazy thing is that it was beautiful here yesterday and I could have done something nice like get out for a walk or bike ride, but I just wasn't interested. I did visit the local humane society where I volunteer and loved on some kitties.
Today I'm beginning with a lemon/apple/pear/spinach/hemp smoothie and I have a lovely salad for lunch. I've also got the last bit of broccoli salad and some grapes along if I need a snack. I realized yesterday that I have too many things in the fridge that won't really work well in a smoothie to do a feast just yet. I'm going to work on clearing out what I've got, then I will consider what to do next. Maybe I'll try a juice fast once I've got my juicer. I'm grateful there are lots of options!
Have a great raw day!

Congrats firefly!!
No plans yet, but have lotsa choices today at least.
I had a breakthrough about my dislike of zucchini noodles w/ marinara yesterday - I don't like raw zucchini! I don't even love it cooked, I've realized! I've only just tolerated it! So from now on, I will try "pasta" with other things!

l-salad w/tomatoes, carrot, avocado

thanks basenji :) i'm not giving up on them quite yet.
i rushed lunch prep cause i was hungry. it was going to be a wrap sandwich in a collard, but then i remembered i had taco nut meat so i added some of that, and i didn't put enough veggies in and the collards aren't very good - blah. so i ate some leftover grapes and bananas and orange from breakfast. i'll be eating again soon - it wasn't much food.

Had me a green smoothy for breakfast. I added more greens than usual and I did have difficulty drinking it, so I'll back off a bit next time. Had a nice salad with Alissa's Orange Dressing for lunch, oh WOW that was yummy!!! Not sure when I'll have for supper yet, the original plan was marinated chard, but I don't want to waste the chard if I don't like it! I think I'll use some of the chard to make wraps for supper and the rest in a green smoothy tomorrow.:D

Thanks everyone for the congrats!
I was off from work early today, so I just returned from a trip to pick up my sunny yellow juicer!!! YAY!!! :D While I was out I stocked up on fruit and greens. Since I've been raw now for nine days, I think that my body would be happy with a little bit of a juice fast to get rid of some of the SAD residue I'm sure it's held onto. So, I'm going to get to bed early tonight so that I can get my workout in and make some juice before I head to work in the morning. Except for a couple of avocados, the stuff I have left in the fridge will make fine juice. I look forward to experimenting!
It's a glorious day today here in Denver, so I'm headed to drop a couple things at the storage unit, mow the lawn and head out for a bike ride. It's lovely to have a sunny day after several days of rain. Sun makes me so happy! :D
NellieBelle...you had quite the productive day yesterday! :)
StarFire...it sounds like a good day to take it easy! Hope you're feeling better soon!
Appifanie...I prefer yellow squash to zucchini, but I find that zucchini slices are a good vehicle for dips, salsa, etc. I don't generally eat it otherwise.
Have a great day ladies!

4:50pm and i'm eating dinner - definitely too light a lunch :D
dinner is salad - romaine, tomato, green pepper, cucumber, black olives and the dressing is pesto thinned with more olive oil and some acv. (the pesto is just basil, nutritional yeast, salt, and olive oil)

I'm suuuuper dizzy... the whole house is spinning... nausea, runny nose, stuffy head...

S: apples, banana
We were woken this morning at 8 am by roofers tromping like elephants on the roof. They're redoing the roof, which is nice, but it was loud and they used a leafblower up there which sent torrents of dust and debris down through the skylights into our bathrooms.
I was exhausted and fell asleep on the couch for 3 hours. I have a midterm on Thursday and need to study but my brain is feeling really very awkward and tired. My morning smoothies usually provide me with a huge energy boost, but instead they fueled some very strange nap dreams. LOL
I'm going to see if my avocadoes have ripened... maybe I just need some fat in my diet to wake up the brain. Maybe my body is doing through a hardcore detox even though this is my fourth week raw. I'm going to make some lemon water too, to see if that helps.
I hope you're all having a rawesome day! :)
