Just made some fresh almond milk. Having an almond milk/cacao/maca/bee pollen smoothie for breakfast...dee-licious!

I don't think I posted my food yesterday but i had a great day. DH and I worked ourselves to the bone in the house all weekend to put it back together after Erin and the babes moved out. What a job but so cool to have it back to ourselves. Will miss them but will still have the girls for daycare. I am so in the mood for clearing things out. This may sound silly but of all the work we did one of my favorite things was emptying this antique trunk I have (was my sister Joan's, who died 26 years ago). It had a very heavy lamp on it so I could never open it and it was filled with a ton of old papers, etc.. We moved the lamp and the chest, both to new places and now it holds all my afghans and throws. I put a small piece of cloth in the bottom with some rosemary and lavender oils on it and when you open it it smells wonderful and so do the blankets.....such a small but pure pleasure.

I am going to go thru this house from top to bottom. Yup...

Celebrating two weeks 100% raw today!!

Good morning all!

appifanie~ On days that I'm working, I'm usually up between 0130-0200. Today is my day off, so I slept until 0500! :p

I notice that I'm having the urge to feast/fast. Feasting on green smoothies and the master cleanse are all I can do right now as I don't have a juicer yet. I've been checking out craigslist and ebay for a Champion and have e-mails out to folks to see if they've sold yet. I'm excited to have one soon!

I'm thinking that for today I'll feast on green smoothies. Maybe I'll feast until my fridge is empty of the fruit/veggies that I have and then I'll do the MC. For years, I had headaches daily. I did an 8-day MC in 2003 and as a result, I didn't have headaches for over a year! Now that I have been raw for a week, doing a MC would help to clear my body of additional toxins. I love feeling good....it'd be even great to feel better!

Have a great day!

Had a nice fruit smoothy this morning. Almond milk, fresh strawberries, frozen banana and maca. Yummy! I am craving a nice salad for lunch and I'm planning on Alissa's "mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy" for supper. I have lots of fresh picked strawberries to snack on and I'm going to make some raw fudge later for dessert tonight :D

Hello everyone! I'm a little sad it's Monday but I'm going to have a rawsome day anyways......

It has been a few days since I've checked in. I sit on a computer all day, all week at work and on the weekend sometimes I don't even turn my home computer on at all.

Anyways, I did a lot of un-cooking this weekend.

I made the Coconut Cream Pie from the Cafe Gratitude cookbook. Oh my it is SO good. It's almost gone already. My sister ate some and she kept saying this is healthy? This doesn't have sugar? I can't wait to make other recipes out of that book.

I went on a quest to find the coconuts for my pie, the young thai coconuts. I did find them and WOW!!! I can't for the life of me figure out how in our regular grocery stores we get those dry old coconuts with the hard meat when there are these precious things. They taste unreal. These coconuts are my new most favorite thing in the whole world. I had leftover coconut water and I drank it the whole weekend.

I also made a "chicken salad" recipe I got from the forum and it is excellent as well. My warm cornbread I made last week was God awful though. I tried to eat it but I ended up tossing it. I guess I'm doing pretty good if that was the first thing I just outright tossed.

I also have a sweet potato concoction going on in the dehydrator. I am an excellent SAD cook so doing the raw thing is like learning a whole new way of cooking. I really love it so far though. Although it is time consuming in a way. I think I have enough things prepared to carry me thru the week.

Besides the things I listed, the only other things I will be eating are just my usual dates, kale chips and other veggie chips I've made, and salads.

Sorry for the novel I have wrote in this update haha. I hope everyone has a great day.

haha! I love my schedule! I'm very much a morning person, so working 4a-1230p is fabulous!

I had a banana lemon smoothie just a big ago...YUM! I also got a response from one of my inquiries about a Champion juicer. Hopefully I'll be able to see it today! YAY!!! :)

Well, okay then :) I had a 5am-12 job once and it killed me.

Banana lemon? I'm intrigued!

Good luck w/ the juicer!

Just had a few pecans and almonds. Ever since I moved south, I've thought pecans are just the best. Hmm :)

Good morning, raw lovelies! :)

Today I'll be tucking into studying for a midterm I have on Thursday. I've taken the past few days off to heal from detox, but today I need to get back into it. Therefore I'll most likely be snacking on various things in the fridge:

Cherries, grapes, green salad from last night, lemon water

I also need to juice the celery I have before it goes bad. I'll add some cilantro and spinach to that to make it a nice truly green juice.

Have a beautiful raw day!

Happy Monday!

I've having a sleepy afternoon. I could really use a nap. Other than that, I am feeling really good. I can't believe I haven't had meat in 2+ weeks. I think this is the longest I've ever gone with no meat at all, and I feel GOOD. Previously when I've tried to be vegetarian, I felt so tired after awhile, and that was even while eating meat once or twice a week.

I am experimenting with raw pickles. I started a batch this morning.

Great news, I think I found a dehydrator on craigslist!! It's not an excalibur, but it has trays (8!!) and temp range down to 85degF, and it's only $30US. I am so excited if this works out, I'm drooling over all the yummo things that can be made with one.

On to today...
B: smoothie with raw almond milk, kale, bananas, frozen mango/pineapple/peach.strawberry, and a feijoa
S: grapes
L: small salad with raw dressing
S: banana with raw almond butter. still feeling nibbly, will probably have a nectarine or an orange in a bit
D: I'm thinking fruit. I've got tons of it that needs to be eaten.

Happy to hear that everyone's doing well!

My smoothie feast didn't extend beyond my mid-morning smoothie. I went out to run a few errands and found that my body was screaming for nuts, so I went to WF and purchased some. I don't ever buy very much, usually less than a quarter-pound, knowing that once I start they'll probably all get eaten. Needless to say, I did eat them all as well as a bunch of other fruit.

Today's the first day that I actually had a thought about eating SAD. I didn't even consider giving in, but I've been allowing myself to eat what I want. As a result, I've been eating pretty mindlessly all afternoon. I sit here with a belly full of blueberries, banana, grapes.... I have hope that by continuing with raw, there will be a day when I only eat when my body asks for it, rather than when my brain tells me it wants it. :o

Breaking into my coconuts tomorrow..yup!

Had a great day today, lots of energy, and just feeling "happy" :D

Casaba Melon (I love these things!!!)

Cherries

Homemade Tomato Sauce using 1 tomato, Basil, Oregano, Zucchini all mixed in the food processor

Spiral sliced Zucchini into "noodles"

Chopped up yellow squash to put on top with some diced carrots

Salad with Mixed Greens, Cucumber, Carrots, Celery, and Avocado
I drizzled some Coconut Aminos, and Coconut Vinegar on top for the salad dressing (that was really tasty)

But, I'm still having the problem when I eat a non sweet fruit meal, I feel like I'm starving when I'm done. Even though my belly is full, and I've eaten a lot of food, I'm not "satisfied" and really start craving cooked foods, or something with fat in it.
