Rash from shaving

I have REALLY sensitive skin on my face, and can only shave 3/4 times a week or I get a rash on my neck... Anyone know anything I can use on my face to make it less sensitive so I can shave everyday?

I shave with coconut oil. Just rinse the blade often. I use a natural spearmint soap when I can get it that's wonderful.

An aloe vera gel would help soothe and heal the rash. I also use an oil between washing and lathering up to shave, usually jojoba or almond oil. Bronner's shikakai soap for shaving and then more oil/water aftershaving with a little bay rum and cold water splash to close pores.

Rinse razor out between each pass with cold water, protect your blade by drying it and coating with a drop of the same oil for storage between uses. Shaving in the morning after a nights rest, the whiskers are softest and easiest to shave.
other thoughts; could it be the lube strips irritating your skin?
have you tried the multi bladed razors...3/4/5 blades?
have you tired changing the direction you shave in the irritated areas?

I have/had the same problem...my solution...I am growing a beard...lol...seriously though...I had to use a 4 blade razor and I shave in the shower after I have washed everything and had about 10 minutes soaking time in the warm water. Get yourself a fogless mirror and give it a try. It really help me out. Also, I use lots of soap on my face...not shaving cream. I just lather up and rub it all over my face and shave away reapplying as needed. Something gentle like Dove soap or if you choose a more natural type soap would probably be as good or better. After being in a career field the last 10 years that required me to shave for work...it is SO NICE to be able to finally let the facial hair grow.
