Hey all,
I have no experience in healthy fasting at all, I need some advice. :o

I have the next three days off of work to heal some serious damage to my arms, and I've seen you talk about the body having more resources for other things when it doesn't have to spend them digesting. What I'm wondering is whether or not I would heal faster if I went on a water fast for the days off, or if my body really needs the nutrients in order to mend itself? Honestly, I'm a little hesitant to dip my toes into fasting at all, as it triggers some musty old neuroses of mine, and I don't want to get in over my head again now that I've become so healthy.

Anyways, do any of you have experience in fasting while injured?

if i were coaching you... (which i'm not) ... i would suggest you do a green juice fast. green juices are healing and that's what you need right now.

drink as much as you want as long as it's a green juice. remember that you can add apple or ginger or carrots to your green juices to make them taste better.

Thanks Aleesha. :)
Why is it you specify apples, ginger and carrot though, do other fruits hinder the process?

by the way... no juices will hinder your process. none. nada. won't happen. ;) just keep them raw and live and you are SET!

i personally think the suggestion of juices would be a better idea too, because it will take less time to integrate food back into your diet, and it will keep your energy up, so you don't dive back into work on the forth day totally robbed of energy do to only water intake the previous 3 days.

Okay, thanks so much. :D
I had one green juice today, and then gave in to an avocado/spinach shake tonight. :o
I'll be planning for the next few days though.
