Hello everyone,

My daughter, she's 9, has been getting these red painful lumps on her feet, they don't itch, but seem like a pimple that forms under the skin but doesn't erupt....

then the last pic is of a "rash?" she got last week out of the blue, they developed on her wrists, upper arm and ankles in small clusters of 5-9 of them... those were very itchy, they are pretty much gone now.

She is mostly raw, doesn't eat meat, drinks green smoothies mostly everyday, lots of salads...

I really really don't want to call the doctor... lol... usually they disappear within a few days but wanted to see if anyone had any info for me :)

Thanks!

someone might know what is actually going on here which would make my comment void, BUT the way i figured out what was causing my own skin ailments was by singling out certain foods. cutting things out and noting the difference. eating more of something and noting the difference.

trial/error and eventually that led to understanding.

The photo of the feet looks like it could be what is commonly known as "sweaty sock syndrome" or juvenile plantar dermatitis. The one on her arm looks like an allergic reaction to bug bites (IE gnats).

possibly a bug bite or poison ivy/oak. that's what it looks like when I get the pi...very itchy.

I don't know what it is, but I agree with Nadien. Maybe try cutting gluten for a week and see what happens?

Thanks everyone,

I have to agree that the ones on her feet might be from something she got into outside, it's only happened recently.... flip flop season, so most likely from an irritant outside, and quite possibly the same for the ones on her arm too.

There hasn't been any changed to her diet, so I can't think of something that would cause a reaction unless she is developing an allergy to something she usually has, I'll look into the gluten thing too, although I can't think of anything off hand that would have gluten in it... hard to say :)

Again, thanks everyone for the help!

they look like ant bites to me... Of course that's my Florida state of mind. They are everywhere here. BUT, they do get that clear pimply/watery/blister thing. They love me and the only way I can stop the itch is to scratch that blister off and use an alcohol based something for itch. Possibly repeat sequence two or three times...

Do you get chiggers up in Maine? Sand fleas?

My guess is poisin ivy. The arm one looks identical to it. Little bubbles. Feet might look dofferent because of it being on the feet. Open shoes and she may have walked in it.

Quite honestly I'm not sure..... never had any run-ins with those, nor have I known anyone to..... I'll look into them though, thanks :)

Unlike the rash on her arms, the ones on her feet are not itchy, right? Just a thought - perhaps it is a reaction to the rubber in her flip-flops.

Feet: plantar dermatitis, flip flopitis or burns from walking barefoot at the pool or on the deck

Arm: chiggers or fleas

NEITHER diet related

They really look like bites even the ones on the feet because there isn't as much skin around the foot as on the arm they don't well up and get little blisters like the arm. Do you have any animals around could be just common flea bites. If they annoy her make a paste with baking soda ( it's alright you are not going to drink it) and spread over the marks. Stops the iching and draws out the stuff in the bites.
