Thank you all for the well wishes for a great dinner/time with DH. It didn't come off though. The "Move" didn't happen so the babies were still here, still are here!:) But DD got everything set up and finished last night and is sleeping the sleep of the seriously weary right now. So....DH had a very modest supper and was just fine with that...man do I have an awesome husband!
Tonight, (if the powers that be so agree) we will be alone here for the first time in a year...can't even get my head around how that will change our life...but I know it will be really good.
So..will retry the plans tonight!:D

Going out to breakfast this morning...taking my fruit with me and buying a bowl of sliced oranges.....yup.works just fine and I am so happy to be taking such blissful care of myself. There have been a few times when I was really wanting something cooked but haven't caved and each time I don't I feel stronger and more determined~

Not sure what i'll eat today. I wasn't feeling well yesterday.

i've been on a salad and green smoothie thing for the past few days. I'll continue with it for this week and eat something different next week.

I'd planned to have a green smoothie for breakfast but I'm eating cereal - buckwheat, coconut, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds (light on the nuts and seeds), apple, peach, raw almond milk. Yummy! But chewy and filling :D

Good morning, Raw friends.

Man, I was sick yesterday. Headache, nausea, stuffy nose, slight fever. I'm putting it down to detox. This morning I feel much better after a bit of sleep, and I'm going to make myself an enormous smoothie. DBF brought me home my greens and bananas, and I love him so much for it!

Other than that, I don't know what I'm doing for food today. Probably a smoothie for lunch as well, and I'm going to have lemon water through the day to help me get through what I was feeling yesterday.

What's really interesting is that I always feel the most awful right before a big drop in weight! I looked this morning and found that I've lost another pound and a half. This means that I've lost 10.4 pounds since I've been back on Raw, but I've lost 15 pounds since last year! SO HAPPY!!!

Love to you all. I hope you have an incredible day. :)

I never thought I would say: "Thank goodness for rotten food."

I almost, almost had an enormous bowl of rice with margarine. I'm still feeling gross from yesterday, and remembered that I had cooked DBF rice a couple of weeks ago when he was sick. I went for it. I opened the container and got a bowl. I hauled the margarine out of the depths of the fridge.

Then I took a whiff of the rice. *Gags*

It was foul. I threw it out.

Then I hacked up a couple of apples, got a bowl, and mixed together some raw honey and raw almond butter. It's not the same as rice, but hopefully the fat content will calm my stomach.

Today ends my 3rd week of raw. How would I have felt if I had had that bowl of rice? Surely not any better physically, and I would have felt incredibly awful for stepping in my own way.

Way to go Coriander!

Stopping by to say hello. It's that time of the month (sorry guys) and I feel as though I have gained about 30 pounds and have a tiny bladder. Thankfully though, I can say that being raw has made a HUGE difference in PMS and cramps. I'm incredibly grateful for that!

I had the lovely broccoli salad that I made yesterday on a collard leaf with buckwheat sprouts for lunch today. It was good! The fiber from the broccoli has kept me pretty full all afternoon. I'm not sure that I'll need much, if anything before I head to bed in a couple of hours. Maybe I'll just eat a bowl of cherries and grapes.

It's been a good day! :)

great job coriander!

i just got in my way (i like the way you put that) and it so wasn't worth it - i feel pukey and headachey. note to self - just cause i make it for the husband and kid doesn't mean i should eat it.

Awesome coriander! :D And bleuurrrrgh about the rice :P

appifanie, it can be so hard to resist those cooked foods. Sending you resistance vibes for next time. Hope you feel better

I did a lot of uncooking today! I made homemade almond milk, raw almond butter, "tuna" salad, and cashew mayo. I am thinking of making some raw ice cream tonight with the milk. The almond butter is AMAZING!!

Another day of not being very hungry. I don't know if it's the heat or what, but I'm hardly eating anything (compared to what I used to eat). I'm sure my calories are way low, but i'm not hungry, so I'm not going to force it.

B: mango and an orange
S: a few nuts
L: 1 banana with raw almond butter
D: "tuna" salad with a little tomato, spinach, and sugar snap peas

Happy Saturday everyone, thank goodness for feeling good and rancid rice. :)

B: GS
L: Strawberries and chocolate

Doesn't look like it in text, but I ate soooo much just now for lunch.
I managed to get the next three days off of work to rest my arms, thinking of water fasting so my body can concentrate on healing, but I did just get some delicious produce today so I don't know if I can manage it!

Everyone is doing so well, it will be nice when the cravings are less, though. cravings complicate things. And I am the queen of cravings especially for SAD!

It is hot and humid here in Tennessee! 94 degrees, they said the heat index is 100 degrees. Not fun for those going to Bonaroo or the CMT Festival.

I was craving watermelon today, so DH and I went to the store and bought a nice sized watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, celery, kale, etc. I was hungry when I left the store and had a banana. When we got home I had a nice big wedge of Watermelon, it was sooo good!

Later I had a small handful or blueberries. I made some raw chocolate brownies, very yummy! Perfect to stop cravings. For dinner tonight it was one whole avocado, salsa and a few grape tomatoes. It really filled me up. for dessert, a few bites of the brownies and raisins. I love raisins!

A very good day!

RAW energy is awesome!!!!
We hiked again today up a huge mountain with wonderful inclines. We hiked for several hours, and I can't even begin to tell you how much energy and strength I had the past 2 days. I was even running up parts of the inclines, and racing my 16 year old son!!! I felt AWESOME and so strong. No pains in my muscles or joints, and no soreness tonight.
In fact I'm still pumped up from today and it's almost 1 am, I hope I can fall asleep soon.
The funny thing is I hardly ate anything today, and didn't have my green smoothie this morning. All I had all day till tonight was....

Blueberries
Raspberries
and
Grapes

Then tonight coming home everyone wanted to go out to eat. At first they all wanted pizza, and I talked them into "Doc Greens" where I got a huge salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and green bell peppers. It was so yummy, and it didn't bother me watching everyone else eat their cooked yummy smelling food.

I'm so excited about the way I'm feeling, and my tummy is doing wonderful!!!

YEAH!!

Made it through day 1, yippee. Feeling pretty good. Only problem is when given the challenge of raw food, I end up grabbing items instead of making meals. Tomorrow i'll make more meals.. and include more veggies. Quite the random mealplan today.
B: watermelon, kale, limewater
L: 3/4 of a pineapple, soaked lentils
D: 4 bananas, bowl of red grapes.

:D
