I belong to a Co-Op, so I spend $47.00 per week on Organic Veggies...(a 1/2 Share...)
Co-Op's are wonderful! Not only are you getting Organic Veggies, but you get to support local farmers!
If I run out of my "staples" or nuts, there is an additional cost, but I'm pretty stocked up on them, so I just order my 1/2 share and I'm happy!!! :D

Renee, where is this Co-Op? I would love to join something like that, because of cost and also to support local growers. Can you send me in the right direction...please..? ;)
Remember I am in Houston too

Um...you really don't want to know. I should budget shop but I definitely don't. I go to whole foods every 2 weeks. The amount I'm going to tell you includes food for my husband too since we buy everything together. This figure is also going to include non raw ingredients that my husband get as well. A large portion of this bill is going to be raw and organic. Everything we buy is organic for the most part. We spend anywhere from $180 to $275 approx...depending on what things we are running out of.
Sorry I couldn't provide a single figure for myself. We always get all our stuff in one place.

More than I should... ;)
Money saving tips, anyhow:
- Farmers market > HFS
- Grow your own food!!
- Raw speciality items aren't necessary. I usually only keep carob on hand.
- Don't overdo it with the nuts.
- If organic is too pricey don't sweat it. My avocados and dates aren't usually organic.
