Morning rawbies!
WOW...I feel skinny this morning!! :D I woke up tired this morning but opted to do my workout anyways, then wished I hadn't while I was in the shower. I couldn't bear to think of how tired I was at that point with the whole day ahead of me. Now that I'm ready for work and drinking my pineapple/banana/spinach/chia/bee pollen (OMG it's good!!!) smoothie, I feel great. Funny how my mind can cover the gamut in just a couple hours!
I remembered yesterday morning how much my cats love spinach. My youngest sits at my feet and waits for me to drop a leaf while I'm making my smoothie (inevitably it happens). She was a kitten when I went raw in 2005 and did the exact same thing. So, I'm making it a habit again to chop up spinach every morning to put on top of their food. They love it!
Aside from my smoothie this morning, I'm taking some strawberries and bananas with me to work to munch on when I'm hungry. Lunch is a big pineapple/orange/kale/veggie salad with raw dressing. I'm getting low on everything so I'm shopping after work.
I love reading the daily posts...everyone's doing great!

Hope you have a great day Firefly. I'll have to try the spinach with my kitties, I have nine.:)
The next five days are gonna be crazy at my house. My daughter has been living with us, with her two little ones who are 1 and 2 1/2 for the last year while she went back to school. Now she has graduated with honors, starts a great job on Monday and is moving between now and Sunday to a great apartment. So many positives but there is a lot of chaos surrounding those changes and I know it will be emotionally and physically challenging and I will be tired and running to the end of my endurance. I've been doing so fantastic with raw and feeling great.
My pattern has always been when I am majorly stressed to eat to quell whatever feelings I don't know how to deal with in the moment...so...this will really be a test for me. What I will do to succeed is keep lots of food on hand so I have choices, rest when I can and do my qigong breathing...yup....I have a plan!!!:D
So far, lemon water w/msm as I type and then a green smoothie
am thinking lots of melon today as I have a beeutiful cantaloupe and a lovely watermelon.or maybe blueberries, apples...hmnnnnnnnnn.so many possibilities~
*hugs* to all my fellow rawbies...we are doing great!!! Hope you all have a wonderful day~

Glad everyone is having a great morning so far!
Drinking my green smoothie now & will most likely have fruit for the rest of the day.
I'm having some major PMS bloating/ irregular BM issues so I'm gonna keep it light & simple today with the food.....that means fruit for me :)
Have an awesome day everyone :)

Hey all!!! I haven't posted for a few days, had some time so I thought I'd check in!!
Breakfast I had a HUGE thick mauve smoothie (a green fruit smoothie, throw in a few blueberries and it turns mauve :) )
It's now lunch time so I'm going to whip up a salad, thinking cauliflower and kalamatas with sea salt and mixed pepper.
Not sure about dinner yet
Have a fabulous day!

Everyone's smoothies sound delicious. I still need to get to the store for more greens. Until then, I have a fridge of food that needs to be eaten.
B: peach and pear
L: eggless egg salad on flax crackers or slices of portobella mushroom
D: sprouted lentil salad
S: apples with almond butter and honey
I plan on doing the same aerobics video I did yesterday. I felt great at the end of it and am feeling the need for that buzz.

needed a snack - wanted to make an earth ball type thing - basically a ball of nuts/dates - an idea i got from one of my fav blogs. i used sprouted dehydrated buckwheat (just a little, for crunch), dates, walnuts (the only nut i had left - now i'm down to a tiny bit of pumpkin seeds only), coconut, dried cranberries. normally i'd add agave to help it all stick together, but i'm out so i'm using a spoon - so good!
eta: thanks starfire! i'm feeling better :) still sneezy, but such is life.

appifanie, that snack sounds amazing! I've read about the sprouted and dehydrated buckwheat, and it sounds so good. I really need a dehydrator so I can make some of these fun raw foods!
I am having a pretty good day today. Exercised this morning (55 min of tae bo, I'm feeling GOOD), and almost successfully avoided the temptation of chocolate from the gourmet chocolate shop where my mom works..I had a teeny nibble of my son's just to see how amazing it was... it was good but surprisingly that's all I wanted.
B: banana and a handful of strawberries
L: half of a green smoothie, with kale and spinach, banana, strawberries, a lemon, and some dates
S: orange, grapefruit with sucanat
D: not sure yet. I am really craving something savory, but nothing specific is sounding good. I will probably make another bowl of salsa salad.. minus the frozen corn, since I just learned that frozen veg are cooked first (BOOOOO! :( )

Wow Firefly, luv that your cats love their spinach. Im gonna try putting some on top of my cat's food and see what he thinks...
Anyway, today is an uneventful day. My migraine is gone, and my runny nose cleared up, but now I've got this weird itch in my right eye...more detox stuff, can't wait for it to be over. :(
Breakfast: Fruity Smoothie
1 Mango chopped, 6 strawberries, almond milk, cinnamon, hemp seed, touch agave (i knew I didn't need the agave with the mango, but my sweet tooth kicked in).
Lunch: Ezeikal sprout cereal, strawberries, almond milk
Dinner: Huge green salad (spinach, cukes, celery, avocado, artichoke, olives, cherry tomatoes, onions, mushrooms)
I'm hungry today for some reason. Last couple of days I haven't had much of an appetite.

it was! i don't usually add the buckwheat, but i was looking for bulk because I'm so low on nuts and whatnot.
buckwheat can be great - it's a good thing you don't have to count calories on raw though cause WOW!
dinner is zucchini linguini with alissa's marinara. i have a joyce chen spiralizer (their customer service is awesome) but it makes things too thin for me. also put parm on top (nooch/walnut combo).

Wow, you all are doing so great - and exercising and cleaning to boot.
I wasn't really hungry this morning, so I drank a lot of water, and took my honey to his tooth extraction appointment. When we got back I made his favorite banana pudding (it's SAD, but I am slowly decreasing the sugar and increasing the fruit in the things I make him, and he has yet to notice ;) ). Anyhow that led to
B: Banana! Mmm.
S: Dates
It's another day over the hundreds temperature-wise, so I'm dying for something cold and frosty, but I can't decide what to make! I have an avocado, bananas, tahini, and plenty of veggies at my disposal, and there are WAY too many options! :p
Edit: L/D: Smoothie/Milkshake - 2 bananas (one frozen), a tbsp tahini, a bunch of cucumbers, two leaves of the dreaded chard, and handful of both parsley and spinach, with a couple dates and a splash of vanilla. Creamy, refreshing, and I still got in some greens. :P

This weekend we are doing a 2 day hike, up two different mountains :p
I'm very excited, but was wondering what should I bring?
I could do all fruit, and maybe start the day with a green smoothie??
There's no telling how many miles we will have walked by Saturday night.
It will be me taking 5 to 6 kids/teens ;)
Night, and Happy Thursday tomorrow to you all!!

After reading through everyone's threads last night, I went to bed thinking that I have been eating like a pig! Every time I am hungry I eat fruit, aside from my salads at lunch and dinner. Then again, I have to remember that everyone's body and activity levels are different. It won't do for me to compare what I'm doing to others. As long as we're all raw, it doesn't matter, right?
My food yesterday looked like:
B: green smoothie with pineapple, banana, spinach, chia, bee pollen
S:bananas, strawberries
L: big mixed fruit/kale & garden greens salad with raw dressing
S: grapes, raw sweet corn (YUM!), handful of cashews later
D: big kale & garden greens salad with buckwheat sprouts, tomato, cuke, mango with raw dressing
