Morning everyone~
Had some weird sleep last night...kept waking up and having a hard time going back to sleep....ughhhhhhhhh!! I get up at 5:30, so it comes too early!
Feeling okay though and looking forward to the day...I guess cause I feel like it's another day closer to accomplishing my goal of a trim and vibrant self. Amazing how that outlook changes when you are going with the flow of your true desire.
My mini goal today is to eat a lot of greens...so the plan is-
b-green smoothie w/orange juice, frozen banana and blueberries, spinach and celery.
s-melon
l-salad w/veggies
s-apples
d-salad w/taco meat, salsa, avocado, etc...
Will get back to this at the end of the day to see how close I was to that.
bbs....hope everyone is doing great and hanging in there!

Hi all! Don't have a plan yet - I better get on that! Yesterday was the best I've ever done on raw. I confess I had a cup of coffee, but I'm going to wean off of it in a few days in hopes to avoid incapacitating migraines.
Not a bunch of cash or food right now, so I'm going to lay it all out and figure out what's up!
I really want some cacao nibs - mmmm. And some awesome almond butter, like the Artisana. Drool!

My first day raw:D:
I'm not sure what I'll eat for lunch and dinner (haven't planned it yet).
I had a banana/strawberry/apple smoothie early this morning. It was very filling and I probably won't eat again until 11:30am.
I went out shopping for my food early, to beat the morning crowd. I took a nice long walk and I feel great:D

Hi ladies (and gents if there are any) ~~ I did this in May and it was honestly amazing... Unfortunately after a trip to mexico with 8 friends I fell off the raw wagon... I just returned home two days ago and I'm ready to get back into my challenge. I really loved this forum last month and it helped immensely, so here I am again =)
Off to get some wheatgrass, wishing everyone a fabulous day.

I'm about to head off for my colonoscopy :( Very rough night, but I'm sure you can imagine why, but hey, at least I'm cleaned out
I can't or drink anything till after the procedure, and I'm really going crazy not being able to have my 64 oz of water first thing in the morning like I normally do.
I'm taking a really ripe banana and some fresh cherries with me so they will be ready for my when I get back in the car to come home, and a huge container of water. I will have to see how I feel tonight and see what my tummy can handle.
Hope y'all have a wonderful raw day!!

Good luck Cathy!
I started to have some dehydrated okra for lunch, but I wasn't digging it so I made a smoothie/milkshake - frozen bananas, berries, raw almond milk, hemp protein powder.

Cathy - Hope everything goes as well as can be and your results turn out just fine too!
As for me - today is just a bit better than yesterday. I'm still feeling run down and exhausted (which is beyond tired but not quite passing out lol), a bit of brain fog, runny nose, etc etc . . . but its not quite as bad. I think my morning smoothies have been doing the trick. Especially when I drink them quickly.
For lunch I'm having almost tuna and sprouts, and even that seems to be giving me some good energy boost too. I have quite a bit more work to tackle today though, and hope I don't crash.
My plan is to get outta work in a few hours, potentially hit up the grocery store for 1-2 things, get home and take care of a few chores/make up something for dinner, and then relax. I'm definitely going to be having some pineapple when I get home too. That really seems to be giving me energy lately. And I'm planning to hit the hay early.
And, to my credit, I have now successfully avoided a rather large temptation. A well meaning coworker purchased SAD cookies at the store and wanted to share. So he left one for me. A big one. With lots of frosting. And honestly, it doesn't even look all that great to me. I admit to licking some of the frosting off. Just a tiny bit. And it didn't taste good either. So I chucked it. I feel bad throwing out food, especially gift food, but no one is going to want something I licked ;) and I certainly don't want it sitting around tempting me. So. Will power! Go me!
Now if I can just concentrate on work and getting that done lol.

I had a green smoothie for lunch, and will have a big salad for dinner. Maybe I'll have a piece of fruit for snack.

Planning some kinda boring modified RAWcos for dinner. All I know so far is romaine, walnut meat and tomatoes - I don't even have cilantro, which is sad, cause I <3 cilantro.
A well meaning coworker purchased SAD cookies at the store and wanted to share. So he left one for me. A big one. With lots of frosting.
Those frosted sugar cookies? I've been vegan for around 5 years and every time I see those stupid cookies I drool and remember them. I too tried some once and it wasn't even worth it.

OOops forgot to post yesterday, but it was pretty much the same as today. the nice thing is not only are my cravings gone but I dont have much of an appetite.
Breakfast: Water w almonds, cashews, pnuts, raisins
Lunch: Grapefruit & lemon juiced, strawberries, 1/2 banana in 16 oz smoothie
Dinner: marinated tomatoes, cukes, mushroom, onion, mango, artichoke salad with sliced avocado n like 2 cut up olives for salty taste.
Yeah so, this was about getting healthy and I wasnt worried about the weight, but it was nice to see it falling off. So for the last few days since I've been on my nut kick, my weight loss slowed, so this is my last day of nuts for awhile. (plus the craving for them is over anyway:p)

I have had a very good day so far,
B-yummy green smoothie-very ripe pear, banana, a handful of blueberries and lots of spinach..
Then I worked out for 30 minutes.
S- Larabar
L-Mixed baby greens, tomato and vinegrette dressing
S-Watermelon, lots and lots..yum
D- made a okra/cabbage slaw...we'll see how that goes, the slime was abundant when I was cutting them, but they tasted really good.
Ended up loving the okra slaw thing, had it with some more mixed baby greens, to up the anty on greens.
I also had coconut shreds, a few walnuts and some agave, mixed to gether with cinnamon, tastes divine...

Had a good day.....got my greens in twice which was my goal.......
b-green smoothie
l-greens & tomatoes w/raw dressing
s-handful of granola, a piece of mango/peachy flat bread w/ almond butter, drizzled w/honey
d-...not sure...am having a hard time smelling my family's dinner...making me uncomfortable and hungry but not feeling the love for anything in particular.......maybe just some fruit...melon, then blueberries.........yup...an apple to if I am still antsy and hungry.
Only my second "craving" moment in the last eight days......guess that is not too bad or unexpected.

I'm just pumped today. I completed a 30-minute aerobics video without stopping! I've been sadly out of shape for about two or three years, and it felt GOOD!
My weight loss has slowed, so I'm experimenting with things. I don't know if it's because I wasn't getting enough calories, or enough fats, or if my body released what it needed to at the time. I've made some taco "meat" and eggless egg salad to have around for when I have my cravings.
I ran out of greens for my smoothies, so I'll get to the store either tonight or tomorrow after my class. I have come to love and cherish my morning smoothies. :)
B: big bowl of strawberries
L: probably pears or peaches, maybe a big salad
D: sprouted quinoa salad

Hello all! Happy Tuesday :)
Good luck Cathy, hope your colonoscopy went well.
B: green smoothie with kale, spinach, and parsley, banana, a few grapes, frozen smoothie mix (pineapple, peach, etc)
S: banana mashed up with cocoa powder (non-raw :P )
L: a few pieces pineapple, a bit of dried papaya, a pear
D: a few strawberries, eaten right off the plant, yum
I think I've eaten other things, that doesn't look like everything. I can't remember. I haven't actually been that hungry today.

I had a great day today! I realized that I was jonesing for bananas today after having a couple for a mid-morning snack at work. I don't usually like really ripe bananas, but that was all that was available in the cafeteria. I ate two, then had two more as a snack after my lunch. On the way home, I bought a couple of bunches and had three more! It's nice to be able to eat what my body is asking for and not feel any guilt whatsoever.
It was a great day for greens too. I had a big green smoothie for breakfast and a kale & mixed fruit/veggie salad for lunch & dinner. I love kale...can't wait to be able to harvest it from my garden!
I cut up a pineapple this afternoon and was munching while I was cutting. I haven't had pineapple in a long time, so it was heavenly. I remembered this evening why I don't eat it very often. The acidity of the pineapple burns my tongue after awhile. Because I love it so much, I think I'll just deal with the consequences as I do with bananas. They have been known to cause me to break out with a mild case of hives. Maybe that'll change over time the longer I'm raw. Come to think of it, despite all of the bananas I ate today, I don't have a single spot. YAY!!:D
I'm off to bed. Going to aim to get my workout in before work in the morning. Sweet dreams!

Happy day eight!
Welcome back Lauren. :D
Gossy, great job with the cookie. I've always been a sucker for cookies, but thankfully they just look heavy and dry most of the time now - yay raw! NEVER thought I'd be able to say that.
Today was alright, lots of water.
B ~ Big bunch of green grapes
L ~ Chard/Banana/Parsley smoothie with a spoonful of tahini - The chard (and tahini) were disgusting, I had to add some apple juice to make it palatable, but then it was pretty good.
S(D?) ~ Dates and almond butter. I don't care if it's bad combining, I will ALWAYS enjoy this too much to turn it down.
I think I may do a water fast til dinner tomorrow. I always change my mind though, my body is still getting used to raw, and I'm anxious to get all those nutrients in to heal my body..

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.
I'm sure you saw my "What to eat after a procedure" thread, so I won't repeat that again, but I have decided to wait till tomorrow to eat again, and when I do, it will be a melon island type of day ;)
So today I have had water, water, and more water!!
So I haven't had anything to eat since Sunday afternoon, and even though a fast feels good, I'm so ready to eat some fruit!!!!
Now if I can just hold myself back and start slowly so I won't be hurting afterwards.
I'm so proud of everyone, keep up the great work!!!
