Hi!! My name is Kenzi and im 21, soon to be 22. I found this site just googling. I am not a raw vegan... but hope i am still welcome. I am actually just starting to try a very high raw diet. I was one of those fast food 3 times a day type of person and just started getting really really depressed. This is my second week eating a high raw diet. After alot of reading i decided not to just jump over but to gradually switch. Especially since the only veggies ive been eating the last few years were pickles =[ lol I really am just looking for motivation and helpful hints to keep on track with this. I don't have alot of friends or family who are encouraging. I love meeting new people and hope to meet a ton of new friends with my new lifestyle :D

Hi. Take it at your own pace.
I would suggest that if you are going to do it gradually then you should still eliminate the really bad things in your diet. First to go should be processed and refined sugar and starch.
Eat as naturally as you can and as many wholefoods as you can. If your great grandmother would not recognise it then do not eat it.

Have you tried vegetarian "chicken"? That helped me to transition. :) Also, Alissa has a great recipe for "chicken tenders" in her LOLF book.
I've also found that using poultry seasoning can help to combat those chicken cravings. I guess that lovely sagey flavor takes over. :)
Welcome!

I'll have to try that! Maybe find something with the same consistency of chicken and season it that way! hmm... Thank you so much!
