Im giving up all dairy products.. besides margerine (which I dont eat either) is there a good substitute for butter (besides peanut butter lol) to use on toast/sandwiches?

thanks.

I spread avocado on things for me since it reminds me of margarine. You could do the same with guacamole if you want to make it more fun or just shake on some spices to add different flavors. If you want you could also try coconut butter or a raw nut butter like almond butter. Thick dips like hummus are also good in sanwhiches. Good luck! :)

I like using Snowdrop's Ranch Dressing as a spread on a wrap - yum! *Ü*

I'm curious as to what kind of "toast" and "sandwiches" you are making. Also, if you don't eat margarine, why not give it up - or am I reading the post wrong, which I have been known to do.

You can pour some olive oil in a small container, chill it in the freezer over night then move it into the fridge to soften a bit. Just don’t leave it out or it'll liquify again. Could also try adding some garlic and herbs to change it up.

I've got to agree on the coco oil ~ FABULOUS as a butter replacement ~ so yummy!

thanks for the info :)

I will look into coconut oil, does it come in a jar (ie pre-extracted) I dont want to be scraping an avocado dry everytime I eat toast tbh.

I dont eat margerine, I heard it was full of toxins, even more so than butter.

Yes, coconut oil comes in a jar and if your home is less than 80 degrees, it will probably be a very good consistency for rubbing on toast with a knife. If your home is warm, the oil will be liquified.
