Okay so I am on day 2 of a 14-21 day water fast. It's day 2 and I have to say I am doing great my thought are so clear and I am not hungry what so ever. But my back hurts SO bad that I can't even get off my couch from laying on my back. Theres an extreme pain in the bottom right side of my back and this seems to happen every time I do fasts. Any suggestions for easing the pain? I'll be updating the thread though out my fast :)

Sorry about the pain, Nickr. (And no clue here. Is that kidney area?)

Two of us here are on a water fast, too -- today will be day 5. Seems I've noticed a good many aches in different regions of the body this time. I don't remember them so much from the previous fast. Sure would like some hydrotherapy support and massage to help this along.

Company helps. :) We've kind of called a halt to normal life for now and it's a little boring.

Hi, Nickr! I've been reading the links Aleesha posted on the bigger fasting thread -- it helps to know what the stages are about. (Though the one I'm thinking of is for juice fasting, you can learn from it.)

Horrible mouth taste today. :( But ankle swelling gone, knee pain almost totally gone... felt pretty good this morning but afternoon, a while ago started feeling a little worse, headache and a little queasy. Seems we both feel good in mornings, better, then start not feeling well. We might move to juice fast for weekend, and include my dh. Reading up...

Keep going forward!! You can do it! :)

Nickr, glad you had some help from the juice and felt better!

I think we're transitioning to a juice fast. Water brings quick detox and healing but I think juice will be more feasible for my son and there might be other benefits in keeping the system moving and carrying toxins out. What I don't think we need to do is waffle about between the two fasts. Seems from reading the FreedomYou site, maybe we should wait on the water fast until we've already done the juice fast awhile -- a gentler way to detox, and certainly more acceptable to my son for longer term.

My one concern about the juice fast before was that we got too hungry, so we fell off the fast. I think I learned that was because we were trying to limit the juice, when we should have been instead giving our body what it called for.

I got pretty sick last night trying to transition. I remember the first longer term water fast, I got very sick with the first food I ate. I hope I've learned to be very careful coming off a fast!

I'll be watching to see how you do and cheering you on with your water fast! :)
