Hello all.....

I'm a 37 yr. old cancer survivor (barely) of a little over two years. I have a 25% chance of surviving past five years, so the doctors'/statistics say. After my checkup scans this past April I was such a nervous wreck with anxiety that my cancer had returned, it was then I decided I was going to make serious changes so I never have to worry so much again. After a lot of research, I'm convinced raw is the way to go to stay on this wonderful earth. I've been about 95% raw for the last three weeks. Wow! I feel so good. It even gave me the motivation to start a garden for the first time in my life. I had been ordering already prepared raw food online and have had it shipped. It was great and better than I ever expected, but I got burned out and it was really expensive. So just today I got my Excalibur 9 tray dehydrator in the mail and a new food processor. I'm ready to start making my own raw food.

I'm thrilled to see an online community where I can learn and grow on this raw journey I've discovered..... so here I am. I need recipes too hah!!!

Congrats on your decision to take care of your health.

Suggestions: see if there's a CSA in your area. I began with one a few months ago and am thrilled to receive organic produce at my door weekly. (Many don't deliver, you have to pick up).

Secondly, consider this ~ it's just cancer. You don't own it as in "my cancer".... let it go. It doesn't belong to you anymore, 'k?

Enjoy!

belows a good thread on the topic with great links to natural healers ,

* time to flush out bodily pollution via proper diet and juice fasting imo ,
the juices of raw dark greens like wheat grass to alkalize the body as its difficuult for the disease to thrive in alkalinity . thats just my opninion from alot of reading on natural healing methods and nutrition , ive no degree or anything im just a high school grad

I just wanted to thank everyone for the nice welcome and kind words.

Revvel, you are so right with what you wrote to me in your reply. It gave me a lot to think about actually. The way I refer to the cancer I no longer have as "my cancer" had never occured to me. I wonder how many times I have said that?

I also want to thank Michigan Roman for the link to the thread regarding the man that had lung cancer. I really appreciate all the information in that thread and the affirmation that I am doing the right thing about my health. I'm amazed at how wonderful the people on this forum are.
