Hello,
I'm new to actually attempting to really focus on raw foods. I've been interested in vegetarianism and veganism for about 20 years (sigh, I'm not too speedy with these things), and for the past 12, raw keeps popping up. It's popped up so much lately, that I've decided it's a hint that it's the key to me leading a healthy lifestyle, feeling healthy and great. I started a blog about my journey and thought, "You know, a forum would be really helpful!" and found my way here! :)

Thanks, everybody!
I should maybe specify that I'm not too speedy as I'm still not vegan/vegetarian after all these years, although I have my weeks of doing really well. I was in my teens when I first tried to be a vegetarian.
I am married to a definite meat-eating, pasta-loving guy, and have two kids, 9 and 12. My hope is to make raw a significant part of our lives, and if at least I can go all raw, all the better!

Meh, take it at your own pace, all of it! :)
I've a particular interest by the way in fresh food for kids. There are lots of helpful people on this board for that too. And MANY that have non raw, non veg families.
My family is me, my partner and my 9 yo son, who is a fusspot. But I've made huge headway with him, he drinks green smoothies, raw milkshakes, loves a salad plate for dinner and has never had a problem with fruit (yay!).
We are a vegetarian (my son, his dad is veg), a cooked vegan (my partner) and a raw vegan (me!).

Welcome!
It's so great you've decided to make the plunge - and your kids are lucky to have you introduce real health to them so early.
My fiance is definitely among the meat and pasta loving group as well (his favorite food is steak). Actually, I cook a lot for him. He's made a few good improvements in his diet since he realized his health was going downhill, but I'm hoping that my raw/live foods will rub off on him over time. :)
