My name is Laura, I'm a 19 year old student. Been a vegetarian since I was 11, made the switch to high raw a few months ago and LOVE it! It has helped health problems I had been having....and it's simply a delicous diet!

I am very into fitness, and am going to school for Fitness and Health Promotion in September. I'm used to the "veggies can't be bodybuilders!" way of thinking, so it doesn't bother me. I bet it will make for a lot of interesting conversations when I start school!

I want to make the switch to all raw. However, my problem is lack of variety (which I'm sure most newbies go through, so you no doubt get tired of the questions!). So I'm hoping to learn more here.

Lol, the whole 'lack of variety' thing reminds me of my veggie and vegan days when people used to ask me, 'but what do you EAT?'. I'm sure you get the same thing now as a veggie.

What do rawbies eat? We give a similar answer to what veggies give 'lots of things!' or rather 'what do we not eat!'

Have you checked out the photos only thread in the recipe section, that's inspiration enough!

I just spent some time looking at that thread actually! This whole 'all raw' thing doesn't seem so scary after all!

Yes, I here that all too often! It's why I will never be 100% raw, because I always feel AWFUL when I go to friends or my Dads girlfriends to eat. They freak out enough about the whole vegetarian thing, I can only imagine telling them I ONLY eat vegan/raw. That's ok though, I like 'junk' food everyonce in awhile!

Nice to meet anothr raw foodie from the area! I haven't met anyone else from around here who is. I managed to track down two people in Kingston, where I will be moving in September. We seem to be a rare breed!
