Well the past two mornings I haven't had time for exercise. I find it challenging to motivate myself to workout in the evenings, because I'll think of every excuse in the book and ultimately talk myself out of it. But perhaps that's all just negative talk and in my head.... I mean, I can do it if I REALLY committ to it.

I am going to Mexico with 8 girlfriends on June 3rd for four days.... Being there will be the true test of my raw strength. I don't just want to abandon this lifestyle at the end of the challenge, I want to make it a lasting and permanent change.

Having to put on a bikini after a winter of over indulging was a huge motivator in my decision to put this challenge to the test, and now I fear I might not be losing weight as quickly as I wanted. Now, per the advice of some of you I did NOT weigh myself this morning (and that wasn't easy) and won't do so again... Rather I'll just go by how I feel and how I look... I can tell that I feel leaner, but I just hope that I feel confident and comfortable come June 3rd so I can brag about my new lifestyle to my friends - ha :)

Anyways, I work as an event planner and tonight am supposed to go to "A Taste of Dublin" ( a large suburb near Columbus, where I live and work ) as a networking event. I am fully expecting my co-worker/partner to ask my why I'm not eating any of the samples; and so I need to do some major mental preparation for that today. I don't want to give in to temptation there, so I'm publicizing here that I'm obligated to go to this shin-dig tonight. Would be much cooler if it was "A Taste of Raw." Hehe :p

another raw happy day. already had a few bites of watermelon. woke up feeling hungry and a little groggy.

it's a good day.

Hi everyone

I'm still raw, but is struggling big time.. I think i ate to many fats the last days, and also nuts which where not raw..Maybe thats why I'm REALLY craving cooked food now. I'm in work now, as a handicap assistant, and tonight we will go out and eat... sooo tempting.
I'm changed between telling my self that I will NOT do it... and that I will just do it this one time :(

It's so difficult right now.

How do you deal with cravings? Today I ate 2 avocados, 70 gr not raw macadamia nuts, and 100 gr raw chocolate.. and I don't feel good.

Good morning :)

Is that what you've consumed already just for this morning? Or do you work night shift or something? I agree, if I ate all that fat I'd feel pretty dreadful too... Can you try filing up on salads, or maknig guacamole out of half an avocado and dippnig celery and carrots and tomatoes in it instead? I'd ease up on the fat and make some green shakes!

I personally get addicted to raw nuts (just one of the plights of being a food addict/recovering compulsive bulimic), so I avoid them entirely (except for home made raw nut butters). Its just not worth it for me at this point, to risk feeling like crap by eating a thousand raw almonds (or cooked almonds in your case). Add more produce and you'll feel better!

Good Morning Ladies! Actually, it's just after noon, but I've only been up a short while (I work second shift on a psych unit, don't go to bed until the wee hours of the morning).

Soo, I feel good! I ate lots of fruit yesterday so today I'm going to concentrate more on veggies. Carrot juice in a bit, mock salmon pate with celery, cucumber and cherry tomatoes for dinner, maybe I'll take a green smoothie for snacking. I'm on a 7 day stretch at the hospital (today is only day 2).

I walked for most of my break last night, down the hill and back. Maybe today I'll slip off the unit and climb up/down the stairs. I'm excited because I've always been kind of an "all or nothing" girl and I'm so motivated this month! Oh, and Fed Ex just dropped off a package ~ it's a brand new saddle for Chance! Now I'll really need to work on getting into shape!

You all are the best! I love coming here to see how everyone is doing ;-)

Brekkie – grapes, strawberries, banana, greens and hemp oil smoothie
Snack – 2 bites of raw chocolate pie and a few pumpkin seeds
Snack - avocado
Lunch – salad with lambs leaf, spinach, romaine, cucumber, avo and lemon and olive oil dressing
Dinner - mushrooms with a blob of nut butter, a blob of sunny pate, lambs leaf, spinach and a few cherry toms. A few bites raw choc cake.

Good Evening all!

Had another great raw day!

for breakfast I had a piece of stRAWberry rhubarb pie I made yesterday and it was amazing! ...and very very filling

Wasn't hungry around lunch time, had a coconut water (which has been great helping stay alkaline) and had a tomato and olive salad for dinner!

Went summer clothes shopping today which has motivated me to start exercising again, I've been slacking hard, so getting back in that saddle tomorrow a.m.!

Well it's almost my bedtime LOL! 9:00!!!! Almost forgot to check in with ya'll!
I eat pretty much the same things everyday

Breakfast & Dinner---banana & greens smoothie (1 w/ 1/2 avo)
Snacks---grapes/ carrots & cherry tomatoes/ mango
Lunch---salad w/ guac/ brussel sprouts/ alf sprouts/ cauliflower, broccoli/ mushrooms

So Katie:

it appears all of your fat is coming from avocado...

How are you liking that? i feel like perhaps I'm getting to much. I Felt incredibly sluggish this afternoon and evening... And I did consume an entire avocado, a bit of EVOO, cacao and some nuts today... In addition, plenty of fruits and veggies, but I fear overdoing the fat, because I've heard that can make one feel a bit 'icky,' for lack of a better word.

So I think I'm going to try and restructure tomorrow. I want to add way more greens, because I think that will help with the cravings (like the intense ones I've experienced today)...

I wonder though if this is all just natural raw detox, because I had a relatively smooth first week... Perhaps I was just due for some symptoms??

yes greens for sure take away cravings!! im so proud of myself. i have crazy rehearsals for a show im dong and i bring green smoothies with me and fruit and the theater is surrounded by all these food places but i wait to drive alll the way home to make raw food or a smoothie! i love it. i never thought i would get to this point. ive even turned my vegetarian brother onto green smoothies and hes going more and more raw the more and more he sees and EATS my raw food! i stay away from nuts because im pretty compulsive... they're too easy to over eat! so i stick to getting fats from avocados. they're just so yummy! im also obsessed with this raw chocolate pudding.. my parents came to visit and ate the WHOLE thing... and they thought i was weird for eating raw... little did they know...haha..
