Just thought we better start a new one of these, because we were at 5 pages on the old thread. So, please post lots of cool pics everyone.
This was our dinner last night, we had Mexican,
this is Alissa's Pizza wrap with a burger patty (Alissa's meatloaf made into burger patties) topped with lettuce, white onion and tomatoes,
I also had salad with tomatoes and creamy french dressing and fresh tomatoes and onions to round it off.

Walkinonwater, sorry, it's not on this site, it's my recipe.
Walkin'onWater,
There is a mayo recipe here somewhere. Make it and then add 1 or 2 tomatoes and blend til smooth for french dressing.

Ok, just to show that not only can some guys cook, they can uncook too, here's the salad I made for dinner tonight. Made with baby romaine, red bell pepper (hidden under a ton of veggies), brocoli, purple cauliflower, vine ripe tomatoes, baby carrots, avocado, Alissa's Dressing.......which comes out much better when blended instead of shaken, and a few edible flowers.

I made the BEST French Dressing by mistake last week. It tastes just like the real thing. Here is my recipe:
1 Avocado
1 small ripe tomatoe
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 clove garlic
Blend it up and weep for joy! YUM!

It was at a local farmer's market here in Washington. They had HUGE heads of it and brocoli for dirt cheap (compared to a safeway) prices. I need to go back and get another one because this one is about gone. It's actually a type of brocoli from what I've read but it tasted like cauliflower, however it's a much milder taste. It's not as "spicy". Sort of in between cooked and raw cauliflower. I think it's perfect for salads because of that. The first time I tossed it into a salad I thought wow that just looks really cool because you hardly ever see purple stuff in a salad and never that tone.

wow, that looks gorgeous! I've got to find me some purple cauli. So it's a combo of cauliflower and broccoli? I thought that was broccoflower which I've only seen as green...It must be mixed with something else to make it purple.
If you see that farmer again, will ya ask her for me? :)
Thanks
ETA: Oh, thanks for the dressing, Rowan! Looks great. I think I can sub the honey okay :)

When Dragggon grew our cauliflower this year, the stalks were purplish and the flowerettes were kind of lavendar, but not quite as intense as the ones in this salad, ours still looked kinda white, these are gorgeous.
They are sooooooo very beautiful.
Beet ravioli from Raw Food/Real World -- delicious and fun to look at!

All I know for sure about it is what I read on the Net after finding it. Supposedly it occured naturally and that it is not a mix of cauliflower and brocoli just that it looks and tastes like cauliflower but is related to brocoli instead somehow. Apparently the first known one was a natural "mutation" that just appeared in a farmer's field one day with the rest of the "regular" cauliflower.
I often see beautiful, deep purple cauliflower at my local market -- always organic. But I've never been brave enough to actually buy it. ;)
