Hello! I am JUST starting the raw diet...I'll begin the monthly challenge in June 1, though I'm easing into going raw as we speak. I ordered Alissa's book/DVD but what I don't think I can afford is a dehydrator. I own a nice blender and also a juicer. Do you think I can stick to a good healthy diet without the dehydrator? How necessary is it? How often do you all use it?
Thanks...

You can definitely make do without one, I'm about 90% raw and all I have is a semi-decent blender (it can't even blend dates).
It all depends on how fancy you want to be I suppose.

Nah... you don't need a dehydrator at all.
In fact, there are heaps of rawbies who don't use a dehydrator for various reasons. You can still eat as gourmet as you like, or as simple as you like. You can still make burgers and lasagne, sweets and soups...
The lack of a dehydrator is not something you have to worry about, you'll do perfectly fine without it. :)

agree. no need for one.
no problem, mon
There is so much you can do without a dehydrator! I bought one and only used it a handful of times. It's really not a necessity at all.
welcome to the wonderful vibrant world of eating living food! :)
