Hi All,

I'm a 25 year old male and plan on starting a raw food diet.

I want to start with adding green smoothies and wheatgrass juice to my current diet. (as breakfast)

My personal goal for the future is to make a transition to a full 100% raw food diet. I do have one big question though:

Is it possible to gain weight on raw food??

This is another personal goal for me because i do find myself skinny and want to add some pounds. The only problem is that i do a lot of sports (Mountainbiking, Running, Fitness, Martial Arts) and burn a lot of kcals.

I'm looking forward to this whole raw experience. Hope to learn from you all ;-), thanks.

You can gain. I think that your body goes towards where it wants to be, as far as weight goes. Just eat when you are hungry. Don't deprive yourself. Especially when you are active. Welcome.

Apparently you have to soak your nuts (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLwhS0Z1SNU).
