breakfast: strawberries
snack: raw nut & raw cacao butter with stevia
lunch: spinach strawberry shake
snack: small granny smith apple
dinner: romaine + corn + tomato + onion & guacamole with carrots
snack: 1/2 banana w/ strawberries sprinkled with raw cacao
late snack: carrots + rest of guacamole

Does this seem normal? I had a pretty strenuous workout today and was quite busy. However i feel like I might have eaten to much. I wasn't stuffed at any point, on the contrary, i did experience some hunger. I just don't want to end up GAINING any weight... SO I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on whether or not calories matter on a raw diet... I'll weigh myself tomorrow and see what happens, but this is only my sixth day so I wanted to see what you all had to say about this. Thanks!

I'm new to this too so don't mind me if someone else has way better advice. LOL

But if you feel like you are eating too much you could always replace some of those fruit items for greens :) I tend to eat a lot of fruit but I notice I don't lose as much weight when I do. I'm addicted to green smoothies for breakfast, I can't imagine eating anything else, :D

ETA: You may want to cut late night snacking out....especially if its something sweet..(it keeps me up longer than usual if I snack late which is no bueno) Plus I heard it helps when trying not to gain weight

Thanks ladies, as it turned out, I did have an overnight loss of 1 pound, so I guess you're right, I'm not eating too much. I suppose I'm just used to having to watch every last bite I take, wondering if its going to hang out on my thighs or make me retain water... I am TOTALLY excited that I don't have to do that now!

WOOHOO!!!! I'm loving this journey. Today's day 7 & going strong. Thanks!

I agree, it sounds like you're doing well.
It's weird for me to not have to limit my portions anymore as well now - sometimes I still worry, but as long as I stay raw everything seems to be fine. :)

One thing I would recommend though is that you get more greens. Maybe instead of one of your fruit snacks? Also, stay hydrated! Lots of times we mistake thirst for hunger, especially if we're eating fresh juicy foods.

I'll weigh myself tomorrow

Put the scale away, start focusing on your HEALTH and BALANCE, and get a copy of Alissa's book LIVING ON LIVE FOOD yesterday and read it.

The scale is NOT the way to tell if you're "doing Raw right", lovely girl. Place your focus on the long-term... you want to achieve clean blood, a healthy body, a fit form (not "skinny", but FIT), and a balanced MIND and Spirit.

Your Body's internal balance and radiant HEALTH will show on your face AND in your form... give it time, relax, and IF your Body feels she needs to release weight, she will in the timing she desires.
